Holder works great in my C4 Corvette
I wanted to update the audio system on my 1990 C4 Corvette to add Android Auto without losing my current units CD capability. The tablet I purchased did not come with a window mount the constantly curving surfaces meant a dash mount was out of the question. In comes the Linkstyle Car Table Holder. Works great, is very solid, and easily removeable when I am prepping the car for autocross or track days. Love it.

Made my job easier, love it!
I bought this Tablet Holder to hold a Surface Tablet on an Ambulance. If you've ever been in the back of one, you know it's not the most smoothest ride you'll ever take. Honestly, I figured for the price it would not last past the first couple of hours before I chunked it in the trash. Well, not only has it lasted but, it has taken a heck of a beating and NOT failed from day one. I remain very impressed with it. It is made out of hard plastic. It comes already put together and fits a variety of size tablets because the bottom piece moves back and forth to adjust to fit the tablet and secure it in place. However, if you firmly pull one side of the tablet, it will slide out but will not fall out on it's own. When you pull the plastic covering off the plunger, it's very sticky but, doesn't leave a sticky spot on whatever you put it on which was a big plus with me. It has 3 adjustable knobs which come in very handy for a good view. It also has cushion for the back of the tablet to rest on . Once you place it where you want it and pull the lever on the suction cup, it doesn't move. At lease mine doesn't and it's holding a Surface tablet with a hard cover on it. My Tablet Holder has gone from being stuck on all the inside walls, windshield, and even the hood of an Ambulance to relaxing in bed watching a movie on my personal tablet (bottom part can be used as a kickstand) that I had to give it 5 stars. I personally have not found anything that I don't like about this item. It is serving it's intended purpose and I will definitely be buying another one.

Cheap Junk
I am shocked there are so many good reviews own this product - its cheap and flimsy. I wasn't expecting much for the price, but come on - there is no way this thing will work in the way some of the reviewers have stated - like on a boat ?? HA! I installed my tablet and 30 seconds later it fell out onto the floor. There is no tightening mechanism, the holder basically holds the tablet with light pressure then you tighten the knob to "lock" it into place. Forget about using it in landscape mode, the tablet falls right out and its only a little better in portrait mode. And the attachment point ? What the heck is with the offset attachment ? It needs to be in the center, not off to the side - again - maybe that works for portrait mode, but it does not work at all in landscape mode. Finally, even when used in landscape mode there is no positive "lock" and so the arm comes detached from the tablet holder the second you hit any kind of bump. Absolutely worthless product - don't let all the rave reviews fool you. The only positive thing about this product is the price - and I am not even going to waste my time returning it, it went right in the trash.

Doesn't hold iPad tight enough
First challenge was product arrived in torn see thru bag with no instructions. Not sure if that is how they are normally shipped. Good sturdy design, but to put it together you need to slide 2 of the main pieces together so they "lock" in place. No matter how much strength I used I could not lock the two together. Which is critical to use this mount. So, I put one piece in hot tap water, and the other in ice water, waited 5 minutes to see if that would expand/contract plastic just enough so that they would snap together. And it worked on first try. I'm using this for an iPad mount on dashboard. But, the big problem is, it does not hold iPad quite firmly enough. I learned this when I put the iPad in to test installation, and then it fill out hitting my toe and actually making it bleed believe it or not. It will hold the iPad firmly I would say, but for my purposes, not quite tight enough. There is no spring system in this holder. Might work in most applications, but in my application I really can't have it sliding or potentially falling on the floor, it's gotta be firmly held and quite snug. Hope this helps.

Exactly what I wanted!
I’m on a cross country trip. I wanted to use my iPad for navigation. This holder is doing its job! It’s super easy to expand and tighten to insert or secure the device.I’m okay with this, but FYI, the bracing piece is too wide to hold an iPhone. I’m going to look for a homemade fix when I stop traveling because for frequent use I won’t be using my iPad.

Good function, good buy, a little light.
I now have 3 pad mounts, and this one has the most good features. I thought I could stick it to my windshield and swing the joints downward so my vision wouldn't be blocked. (Police in my area will ticket blocked visibility). Nope! Too much windshield blocked. So... I bought a couple of other mounts, and they were OK but had faults. I ended up using this mount with an aluminum plate held on my dash with a thin, non-skid sheet of rubber weighted and balanced with a lead shot bag. Works wonderfully! I can swing the pad down in front of my infotainment screen. The main arm was a little weak and shaky, so I placed 2 carbon fiber strips in the grooves on each side and poured them full of epoxy. Now it's very rigid. My 10.1" Samsung pad clamps very securely, and has little vibration. You can get inexpensive sticky plates and avoid making your own. I recommend this mount, if you know exactly what you need!
