Yes, you can remove all the equipment.

Q: Does it come in the origional box?

yes, it does come in the box, BUT be careful. i have ordered this twice and both times it was packed in a box with heavy items and the horse box was destroyed in shipping. at this point i don't know how to get one that is not ruined upon arrival.

Q: what is this ornament made of?

I don't know the answer, but if it's plastic, as some sellers have noted, it's not cheap plastic but very high quality. It's not resin, but I still wouldn't want to drop the horse. In any case, I'm responding to let you know that the horses in the Breyer collection are very well made. I have the whole ornament collection and have never been disappointed in the quality or the beauty.
