I bought a computer that I didn't realize didn't burn CDs or DVDs, this works great, very small, just plugs in a USB port, I had software on my computer to burn disc but the drive was not a burner. Works great, I had exturnal drives in the past and they were 4 time the size, many times heavier. Great price!!!

Worked right out of the box and has been trouble free. A good inexpensive DVD drive.

EASY TO USE

This product was just what I needed to replace the DVD drive on my computer. Since I usually watch my DVD collection on my computer, I was afraid that I would have to face a hefty repair bill. This product saved me the trouble.

Short cords, seem shorter then what was advertized.. I was looking for one with longer cords. Not good with desktop pc. Also had some problem with connecting But now seems ok.

I purchased this drive to watch movies, play music CD’s on my computer and to access previously saved documents and stuff. This was not a pleasant experience!The instructions are almost useless. I had to figure out on my own that the device would not turn on unless both cables are connected (using up 2 USB ports for 1 device!). The blue light came on, but the drive didn't show up on desktop and it would not open. I restarted the computer. The device’s blue light did not come on again after the restart.Looking it over, I saw that one of the cable connectors was slightly bent. I (very carefully) straightened it, reconnected the drive and restarted the system again, to no avail. I tried different USB ports with the same outcome. I did this on my newer iMac (2019)* as well as the older one (2009).The Amazon tech support person was very helpful. The device was declared defective. I didn’t need to return it and a replacement drive arrived the next day. Unfortunately, the replacement didn’t work either, it’s blue light never came on.The support person was great. He gave me instructions for returning the replacement drive and gave me a refund. He also arranged for a driver to pick it up as I’m disabled and can’t drive myself. I can do what I want with the first drive. I'll probably give it to someone with a Windows machine and we'll see what happens.I’m going to get another drive. This one’s price was great, but I’ll spend more next time.*Note: After I tried the first device with my 2019 iMac, the computer completely died. I spent several hours working with Apple support, but it simply won’t start up. So now, I’m instructed to take the computer to the Apple store for evaluation and repair. I can’t say this drive caused this problem, but thought I should mention it.

Bought the item several weeks ago, since then have burned numerous CDs without issue. The USB cord is short but the unit fits nicely on top of my computer tower and make it easy to plug into the USB port.

Ich brenne hin und wieder Audio-CDs und habe mittlerweile einen PC ohne eingebauten Brenner - es musste also ein externer Brenner her. Da Audio-CDs brennen bislang kein Hexenwerk war wollte ich auch nur einen günstigen Standardbrenner haben - das war jedoch am falschen Ende gespart. Dieser Brenner ist dermaßen wählerisch mit den Rohlingen, dass auf beinahe jede gebrannte CD auch eine kommt, die angeblich nicht lesbar ist oder bei der der Brennvorgang fehlerhaft abgebrochen wird. Das nervt ungemein und ich bereue den Kauf, die Rückgabefrist ist leider auch schon vorbei. Insgesamt überhaupt keine Empfehlung von mir, das war Murks.ERGÄNZUNG: Nach meiner Rezension hat mir der Verkäufer eine Rückerstattung angeboten. Das gibt von mir immerhin einen Fairness-Stern :-)

Le lecteur fonctionne très bien en audio avec Windows média players. J'ai pu enregistrer sur mon PC des CD au format mp3 aussi facilement qu'avec un lecteur intégré. Pour la lecture des DVD il fonctionne avec VLC mais pas avec Windows média players. VLC est gratuit ce n'est donc pas un problème. L'appareil est compatible avec Windows 11. Le temps de réactivité de l'appareil est relativement lent quant à l'ouverture de la trappe d'éjection. Quand on le sait il suffit d'attendre tranquillement l'éjection sans s'inquiéter de voir son CD resté coincé dans le tiroir de lecture. Excellente communication avec le vendeur qui m'a échangé rapidement un premier lecteur qui avait des problèmes de lecture des DVD contre un autre qui fonctionne parfaitement. Un très bon prix et un vendeur très réactif qui répond rapidement. Je suis très satisfait par cet achat.

Nach unzähligen Versuchen mit unterschiedlichen DVDs, das Laufwerk zum Laufen zu bringen, habe ich schließlich aufgegeben.Der einzig positive Aspekt zuerst: die Touch-Funktion hat in den zwei Tagen, in denen ich sie genutzt habe, keine Probleme gemacht und hat mir auch sehr gut gefallen.Bloß, was hilft mir dass, wenn der Rest eine Katastrophe ist:Weder mit dem USB-C noch dem normalen USB-Stecker lädt das Laufwerk die CDs - es fängt nur immer wieder an zu laden und bricht dann innerhalb weniger Sekunden wieder ab, nur um das ganze in Dauerschleife durchzuführen. In meiner ganzen Versuchsstrecke bin ich genau ein Mal bis zum Menü des Films gelangt, ansonsten wurde bei mir das Laufwerk auf dem Laptop gleich gar nicht erkannt/angezeigt.Gleichzeitig gibt es hin und wieder schleifende Geräusche, was die Sorge erweckt, dass möglicherweise die DVDs zerkratzt werden. Beim Herausnehmen der DVDs habe ich zwar keine Schäden gesehen, sodass es durchaus auch nur in der Mechanik des Geräts selbst irgendwo reibt, jedenfalls ist es aber laut und unangenehm.Alles in allem sind das Probleme, die bei all meinen alten, monate- und zum Teil sogar jahrelang genutzten Laufwerken erst als Alterserscheinung auftraten. Aktuell fahre ich tatsächlich mit meinem alten Laufwerk (welches ich auszuwechseln gedenke) besser als mit diesem hier, was für mich am Sinn der Sache vorbei ist.Meine Empfehlung: Finger weg!

Un prodotto inutile, devo buttarlo dentro al cassonetto dell'immondizia. Abbiamo provato 6 marche diverse di cd vergini, da Verbatim a Philips e non funziona con nessuno di essi. Non legge cd originali di musica o di programmi e non masterizza. NON SERVE A NULLA E NON COMPRATELO! Purtroppo l'ho provato solo oggi dopo l'arrivo perché ho avuto problemi di salute nel frattempo ed è persino scaduto il periodo per il reso.
