I would recommend!
Okay, so I finally caved and got the Blueland dishwasher tabs because, you know, the plastic waste thing is a real drag. I was excited about the whole zero-waste deal and the cute tin they give you for refills. First off, huge points for the eco-friendliness. 100% plastic-free packaging and no nasty chemicals or those weird PVA plastics that might not even break down. That part is great, feels good to use them. But here’s the scoop on performance: it’s kind of hit or miss. On normal loads with regular food gunk, they do a solid job. Everything comes out pretty clean and sparkling. No weird smells either, which is a win. The problem starts with the tough stuff. If I have a pan with baked-on cheese or dried egg, they struggle. I've had to re-wash a few things, which is annoying. Sometimes, I also notice a powdery film or streaks on my glasses if I use the quick cycle. The tablets seem to need a full, hot cycle to dissolve properly. Overall, they're decent for everyday dishes and I love the sustainable aspect. If you're serious about cutting down on plastic and don't mind a little pre-rinsing for tough messes, I'd say give them a shot. Just don't expect miracles on heavily soiled pots and pans. I have recommended them to all of my family and they started using them including my mom, my brother and also some other friends as well.

Excellent Eco-Friendly Dishwasher Tablets - Clean Dishes & Clean Conscience
I've been using Blueland dishwasher tablets for several months now, and I'm thoroughly impressed with both their cleaning performance and environmental benefits. As someone who's been trying to reduce household plastic waste, these tablets have been a game-changer. Cleaning Performance: These tablets clean just as effectively as traditional dishwasher detergents, if not better. My dishes, glassware, and silverware come out sparkling clean with no residue. I was initially skeptical about whether plastic-free tablets would perform as well, but they've exceeded my expectations. Even baked-on food and greasy pots come clean without any issues. Eco-Friendly & Plastic-Free: The 100% plastic-free packaging is what drew me to Blueland in the first place. The tablets come in a simple cardboard box with no plastic wrapper or coating. This is a huge improvement over traditional dishwasher detergent packaging that creates so much waste. Knowing that I'm reducing my plastic footprint with every load makes me feel good about this purchase. Free & Clear Formula: The fragrance-free, dye-free formula is perfect for our household. There's no strong chemical smell, and we haven't experienced any skin irritation or residue on dishes. This is especially important since we have a newborn, and I want to minimize chemical exposure from dish residue. Value & Quantity: With 60 tablets, this box lasts quite a while. The price point is competitive when you consider the environmental benefits and quality of cleaning. It's worth paying a bit more to support sustainable products that actually work. Ease of Use: The tablets are individually wrapped in a dissolvable film (not plastic), making them easy to use - just pop one in the detergent dispenser. They dissolve completely with no issues. Minor Considerations: The only thing to note is that these work best with hot water cycles. If you're running a quick or cold cycle, you might want to let the tablet dissolve a bit before starting. Overall: Highly recommend Blueland dishwasher tablets to anyone looking to make more environmentally conscious choices without sacrificing cleaning power. They're effective, eco-friendly, and safe for families. Will definitely continue purchasing these!

Clean, no fragrance
I have a mild allergy to perfumes and added fragrances, so I may be a little more sensitive to the scents. I’ve only used these dishwasher tablets twice, but honestly they work better than the Finish I have used for years. I did a normal load, not over filled, rinsed the dishes same as always, made sure the water was hot at the sink (so the wash water would not start out cold) and started the load with one tablet. This is the same as I always do. When I opened the dishwasher at the end of the cycle, there was no smell…just clean water and dish smells. Who would want their dishes smelling lemony fresh? The dishes even FELT cleaner than before. No spots on the glassware, and no hazy coating. I often had the haze on my glasses with the old detergent. Next load I am rewashing some of those hazy glasses to see if they will be clear again. Clean dish ware should not get spots. The big detergent brands keep telling you to add rinse aids to get rid of the spots, but that sounds like the detergent is leaving a residue, and the rinse aid is adding a chemical coating to the clean dishes, making me wonder if it is getting into the food too. All of the tablet dissolved. These are compressed powder, no gel coating, and no gummy residue leftover. My only negative is with the packaging. This comes in a lined paper envelope with a zip closure. Since Amazon also sends it in a bubble envelope, there is no protection and 4 of the 36 tabs were broken. Not bad enough to take off a star, but better packaging would help. I also appreciate the cruelty free label. Please continue to out shine the commercial brands.

Safe Ingredients and No Smell — Works Best with Two Tablets
This dishwasher tablet is pretty good overall. I like that it leaves no smell on the dishes and feel confident using it because of the clean ingredients. The only downside is that it’s not the strongest cleaner by itself. I found that using two tablets instead of one gives a much deeper clean, and then the dishes come out spotless. Overall, it’s a safe and reliable option for those who care about ingredients and odor-free results, but for heavily soiled dishes, doubling up makes it much more effective.

love this
I have been a diehard cascade user for many years, but recently I found I was having a problem with grease, so I tried these and I am very very happy. not only are they a little less expensive but they work well and no plastic to worry about. my dishes come out very clean. this is a legitimate 5 star for me.

Favourite dish soap ever! Will be reordering monthly! It cleans the dishes well, does not have a strong smell and does not stain our stainless dishwasher of leave a residue! This is supposed to be the healthiest dish soap you can purchase!

Really wanted to move to these more eco friendly dishwasher tablets but they’re terrible. They leave residue inside glasses, mugs and bowls. Tried them on different settings and also 2 tablets at a time but same results. Poor product.

Works as good if not better than other human/planet/environment friendly options without having plastic. Thinking about the plastic wrapper melting off and sticking to our dishes was creeping me out so much that I was defaulting to hand washing on many occasions before blueland became available in Canada.

I have tried various non toxic natural cleaning products and not been overly impressed. BUT……this product although quite pricey is definitely worth it - especially when combined with a natural rinse aid ( I use ecozone dry and shine rinse aid). No smears, great cleaning and no nasty ‘plasticky’ after smell on plates and mugs/glasses. Highly recommend. I will be using regularly now and have ditched the unhealthy toxic plastic dishwasher pods I was using .
