Buy this one with the zipper sleeves for better rain protection. I have purchased both the Pertomy and Anyoo Ponchos. I have each without zipper sleeves, and they perform about the same. The Pertomy has a zipper by the hood the Anyoo does not. THESE ARE OK BUT THE ANYOO WITH THE ZIPPER SLEEVES IS WORTH THE EXTRA $2. It keeps you significantly dryer in a downpour, works the same with a backpack, and is more comfortable. Pair this with light duty rain pants and you have a really good chance of staying dry in the rain.

Used it for a 3 day backpack trip in the alpine regions of New Zealand in November. It was waterproof, lightweight enough for air travel but not too flimsy--held up to backpack weight and donning/doffing without tearing; buttons helpful to prevent too much ballooning; large enough to cover 65L backpack but not too big for 5'3" person; attractive aqua color. Main downside is hood is quite large even over a warm beanie, but neck drawstring helpful to cinch to keep it loosely on.WEARING TIP from NZ Park Ranger: wear backpack OVER poncho to prevent it from catching wind (and destabilizing balance, hindering vision). Though it was harder to get food out of pockets (too wet/windy to stop in alpine Spring) it def kept me dry and comfortable. Glad I had/wore it!

Used this for a week long trip in Costa Rica where it poured buckets of rain every day. This kept me well covered and dry. The poncho is a very sturdy, comfortable material that doesn't stick to you like plastic ponchos do. Water rolled off of it and it was easy to shake off. It rolls up easily to go back into the included case and it fit into the water bottle pouch of my daypack so it was accessible when rain started. Several people in my tour group asked where I bought it. I would definitely revving this one as it's excellent quality.

I bought one of these each for my husband and myself ahead of our New Zealand vacation. We’re not avid outdoors-y people but we did know we’d be walking around and doing a lot of outside activities and that the weather could be unpredictable. They’re awesome - they cover you adequately (I mean, your shins might still get damp but the rest of you won’t) and it’s longer in back so it can fit over your backpack/day pack and still keep your rear dry. The hood has a cinch cord and a bit of a “bill” to partially shield your face. We’ve used it to walk around in the rain in the US, too. It breathes pretty well while you’re wearing it, and as soon as you give it a good shake when you’re done needing it, it’s practically instantly dry. (Almost.) Best of all - it’s EASY to get it rolled back up and into the travel pouch when you’re done, and that pouch takes up hardly any space. I will absolutely be taking this to Disney later this year. Love it!

Fits great, repels water just like it should. Looks slick in all black and I love the fact it came with a pouch for storage. Seems to be durable without being super heavy but not thin and flimsy like some ponchos. For sure worth the money. Makes a great gift too! Would buy again for sure!
