Definite Learning Curve
Bought this for a family vacation in PCB. Initial setup went well, or so I thought. 2 hours later, it fell over. Set it back up, then the winds came. I had to take it back down in order to prevent damage to the the poles. Out of frustration, I watched YouTube videos as to how to set it up. They definitely helped. Once the winds subsided, it worked fantastically well. Large coverage that allows lots of air flow. I believe the Sun Ninja would be a far superior product assuming their cost was the same. However, they are clearly not. If you are like me and on a budget, don't hesitate to get this. Just ensure that you do your homework and watch as many tutorials as possible and also ensure that you practice as much as possible.Update: it's unfortunate that I left this review after only trying the product once. After using it for 5 more days, here are some tips: 1) stretch the fabric more than you think is necessary. This will allow it to be much more sturdy. 2) fill the bags with more sand than you think should be needed. This will prevent one "foot" or another from sliding with the winds.I have updated my review to a 5 star review from a 4. I am very impressed with the price of the product as well as its ability to coverage a large area.

Solid construction. Stakes don’t help on a windy beach.
Work fantastic on a light wind or flat day at the beach.Winds gusts over 10mph make this a challenge. The stakes are worthless in sand. The socks are great and you can really load them up. We ended up using light nylon bags (like for packable jackets to fill with sand instead of the stakes.Love the size and with 4 people on towels or beach sheets it is great.

JUST DON’T
Read the reviews and thought we’d give it a try. Trust me when I say DON’T! First time out of the bag there’s a tear in the seam on one of the sand pockets but…it still held up ok so we kept going. The real trouble came when we took it down to put it back in the carrying bag. The poles that are designed to pull apart and fold so they will go back in the bag did in fact NOT pull apart. Apparently when sand gets in there(we are on the beach!!!) they get stuck and will not pull apart. LONG story short…..we ordered a Shibumi to be delivered TO THE BEACH! YES it’s more expensive but definitely worth it. So much easier and quicker to put up and take down.

It's really big and durable
This was surprisingly durable even under windy conditions at the beach. It's surprisingly large and I was pleased with all the shade it provided - while the kids were running around I was able to stay cool the whole time. I also appreciates it that it came with a shovel to help set it up.

My husband has a fit with this thing!
Ok so here’s the deal with this thing! It’s a pain in the ass the set up! Of it’s windy it’s going down you can count on it. The best way to put it up is to lay the canopy completely on the ground and spread it out where you want it. Then fill each bag with sand FIRST then erect the poles and attached them. If you do it this way it will be more successful. I personally hate the thing and love my old fashioned metal legged square canopy because they doesn’t blow away and it’s a lot easier to set up. My husband doesn’t swear and this thing brings the beast out of him. 🤣🙈

The Beach Canopy That Fought Off Sunburns and Wind Like a Champion!
Ah, the Beach Canopy Beach Tent—my trusty sidekick in the epic battle against sunburns and rogue beach winds! This 11x11 FT tent promises to be your ultimate sunscreen alternative, and let me tell you, it delivers like a sunburned lobster begging for aloe!First off, setup was easier than getting my friends to agree on lunch plans. I popped it open, and voilà! I had a shady oasis that instantly turned my beach day from “Help, I’m melting!” to “Look at me, I’m the lord of the sandcastle!” It even has UPF50+ protection, which made me feel like I was basically a human sunscreen. Now, let’s talk about wind. This tent stood up against gusts strong enough to take my beach ball on a joyride! I half-expected it to sprout legs and start running for the hills. It was so stable, I briefly considered signing it up for the next Olympic Games. Who knew a tent could have such commitment? As for sunburns? Well, I went from a pale potato to a sun-kissed marvel without the usual crispy aftermath. My friends even started gathering under my tent like moths to a flame, making me the beach’s unofficial social hub!If you’re ready to conquer the beach and keep your skin intact while dodging both sun and wind, this canopy is your new best friend. Just remember to bring snacks, because everyone will want to chill in your shade and you’ll need to keep them happy while you all avoid becoming walking lobsters!
