Helpful for kids who don't like their brace
My son has clubfeet. I believe this book helps him want to continue wearing his boots and bar. Once they get a certain age it becomes harder to make them wear the boots all night. My son loves his JoJo book and hasn't been asking to take his boots off anymore so I'm calling this book a win. Cute and colorful. I had no problems with our book.

Gorgeously illustrated book and such a sweet story. It makes clubfoot feel like a special secret or superpower, and even has an element of helping others by passing on the boots. LOVE it!

Love it!
So happy to add this book to our library. My son was born with Unilateral club foot. We purchased this book for our 4 year old daughter so that we could start the conversation about her brothers journey and his feet. My daughter now refers to his BnB as her brothers Magic Shoes!

Nice Illustrations…
But I rather wished that there was more exposition…What was wrong with Jojo’s feet ?What were The boots doing ?( ? )

Not an uplifting book
I was disappointed in this book after hearing lots of good reviews on a support group for it. It has a lot of inaccuracies for the average clubfoot treatment, and it depicts the hospital (and the doctor) to be scary! It also insinuates that children can’t run, jump, or have fun until they are done wearing their boots (this is not only inaccurate, but it is depressing for children to hear!)I left a couple stars because it’s not a terrible book, and the illustrations are really nice so it deserves some credit. However if you’re looking for a book to make your child feel normal and encouraged in this journey, (or teach older siblings about it) this is unfortunately not the one!
