I'm giving it 4 stars, because it does work and definitely helps keep damp away and therefore help prevent mould from growing. I've had mine for over 3 years. The reason for a star drop is the price of the refills.

Second purchase and decent price. Used in bedrooms to avoid moisture gathering in windows in colder weather. Easy to use and attach the moisture block. Lasts several weeks and easy to empty. Sit neatly on window sill.

Find these so easy to use and they’re extremely effective. Safer in a proper container too as much easier to dispose of liquid. Like that container is reusable but still looks good. One block lasts up to 3 months, depending where it’s positioned.

Good for low-level humidity. I seem to be replacing the re-fills every 2 ish weeks, which is obviously far more frequently than the stated time they're supposed to last (a few months I think). These do help, but it's no silver bullet - we've bought a proper electric unit instead
