This solar generator cord was the perfect replacement to the one I lost. We needed it desperately to use our solar generator during the 4 days we were without electricity.

The heavy outer cover makes the cable easy to handle and presumably protects the conductors. I will use the cable in a mobile environment with much installing and removing so durability is paramount. The Anderson Power Pole connector was installed in a standard horizontal manner. Included is a third Anderson set.

UPDATE 3/13/2023After the connector melted, I must update my review. The listing quotes a "45A Input Power". There is NO WAY you can run 45A through this wire. What I think they meant was that it was 45A connector, but it's also not a 45A connector. After getting a bigger solar panel and some more panels, I tested the rating in full sun to verify that I was actually putting 15A through which should be fine for a 14 gauge wire.Boy was I wrong. On running 15A, the wire was noticeably warm. I watched it for a few days it all seemed to work well. But on a day where it was clear all day, the connector melted. Now I had this connected to an MC4 to Anderson adapter and the other side with the adapter did NOT melt. So I though, I'll just repair the ends and just make a really long MC4 to Anderson cable. That didn't work either because the wires were too thin.I can tell you one thing. Those wires are not 14 gauge. They are at least 16 gauge and possibly 18 gauge. It would be okay if you are running 5A at 20V like I was originally doing, but definitely will not support 15A for any extended period of time.My original 5 star review is now 2 stars, due to incorrectly reported information on Amperage and gauge of the wires. It's a nice cable IF you have reasonable expectations. If you just go based on the info in the listing you could burn your house down.ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOWIt works just as expected. Red to red, black to black. No noticeable loss of power and it doesn't get hot while using.

IF you have anderson plugs this just plugs in and works to extend the reach of my solar panels from my battery compartment in my RV. Easy to swap the red / black connectors to match my Jackery colors and reduce any possible confusion. It would work either way. I just like the connectors to match color.

If you buy these be prepared to take the PowerPole connectors apart and re-assemble into proper orientation. As delivered the connectors were correct right-to-left but they were upside down. Luckily there was enough slack after pulling off the boots to re-assemble correctly. On a plus note there was a spare PowerPole in the package.
