Great for my Mom - so happy with it.
My mother has dementia - and a couple of years ago when I was in Emergency with her (for a fall she took that broke 6 bones in her face) - she was very fidgety of course - and a nurse brought in an activity apron and it is wonderful. So helpful - Mom plays with the buttons and lace tie the most - and when it gets soiled from food or whatever - it is easily cleaned. Just throw in the washer and comes out perfect! So I was searching on internet for a second apron so when the first one is in the wash - my Mom can still have one. And I found this one. It works just like my original one. And let me be clear - my Mom is confined to a wheelchair but she forgets she can't walk and tries to get out of the chair - only to fall. So she has a "lap buddy" which is fits in front of her and to the sides of the chair. If she plays with it long enough - she can push it out and still tumble from the chair - so we have found that when we have this apron tied loosely around her and laying over the lap buddy - Mom plays with it and not the lap buddy - no more falls! It really is so helpful and I highly recommend it.

My dad who has Parkinsons dementia seemed to enjoy using this apron to fidget with. He recently passed so we will donate the apron to his memory care unit.Melissa Brooks

Better than expected.
I just got this for my mom in a nursing home. It seems well made and she has started to get going with it. It has a fuzzy spot with a pocket, a zipper, three buttons with red felt that open out like a barn door with a clear plastic pocket under it, a Velcro strip with a ring to pull it up, and some grommet rings with a rope that runs through them. It was better than expected and worth the price.

My father is mesmerized, very engaged, a winner!
I gave this to my father an hour ago. He is mesmerized. Zipping and unzipping, buttoning and unbuttoning, lacing and unlacing, opening/closing velcro. Yes, it's basic, and yes, you could make it yourself. But this is very well made, very sturdy. Colors catch his attention. Pieces are the right size for elderly hands. If you have a loved one with dementia, I sure do recommend this. Kudos to the creator.

Mother has Alzheimers
This is perfect to keep fidgety hands busy. Mother has Alzheimer's and this activity apron is perfect to give her hands something to do. Put on her ear buds with some comforting music and give her the activity apron and she is content.

great idea
it was too big for my petite 94 year old mom, too wide.I think I would rather have one to go over her neck and down the front.

It is what it is. Good but could have been better.
nice item but too expensive for the number of activities sewn on the apron.

Pricey
Bought for my dementia mother. She likes it. But not real interested. To much for not entertaining her. Most used for cover up.

Good activity apron
Slightly different than pictured, but same activities. Good quality. There is:- Velcro strip with metal pull on the end- Fabric patch with three buttons for the person to open or close. Under this patch is a plastic pocket in which you could put a photo- Brightly coloured zipper (does not open anything, but zips and unzips)- Furry fabric pocket - fur is on the outside of pocket only- String with grommets to lace or loopThere are thin white ties that can be used to hold it up as an apron, but obviously best for seated use. Fabric feels good quality. I plan to order another. I recommend it for loved ones with mid/late stages of dementia.
