I was amazed at a product with such a high rating for so little money. I could not believe it when I ordered them. Boy was I wrong. They are a great product at a low price. I did have to sharpen them, but I have never bought a chisel or carving tool that I did not have to sharpen, so that was no surprise. easy to handle, and well worth the money.

I have been woodcarving for a number of years and have needed a nice collection of smaller wood carving chisels. I have 4 Dockyards but they went out of business last year.I am very leery when it comes to ordering cheap sets because, in the past, penny-pinching buys complete crap. For some reason this time around I figured what the Hell and ordered this set. If it was crap I wouldn't be out very much money.Well, they arrived in Prime fashion in 2 days. The 1st chisel I wanted to check out of course was the V tool and unlike other reviews, mine wasn't chipped but the sharpening was done improperly. I was a bit disappointed thinking " here we go.". But I'll tell you what, I am extremely surprised at the quality of these chisels as a set. I honed them all briefly on my Flexcut honing blocks and used a majority of them last night. Each of the chisels worked well beyond what I had expected and they all held their sharp edge extremely well. I must admit that I am extremely pleased and shocked at what I purchased for under 17.00. And that included the shipping.

Theses come very sharp and work well for one or two projects then they tend to get dull fast. a strop will sharpen back up but only for a short time. However they are so cheap I just toss em an get another set and toss them when they get dull.

Really happy with the item. Variety of carving tools, cutting edge is sharp, and plastic covers provide some protection to the blades. I didn't expect much for the price but an excellent starter set for wood carving.

these are precision chisels , work great, i have an alcohol lamp next to me when i carve , i heat up the tip a few seconds and it cuts threw diamond willow, leaving a nice shadow effect . +++

These work but for small projects and good for beginners

I have bought 4 different kinds of carving knives and these are the best!!They are even better than the super expensive ones!!!!I highly recommend anyone who wants to start or even just need new ones to get these!!!!!I bought another one just because I loved them soooo much and it’s always nice to have a variety.
