Blue Paua Abalone Coated Enhanced Adhesive Veneer Sheet (9.4" x 5.5" x 0.007")

I have purchased about a dozen of these sheets. As pictured I used them to make pens and they look great. I will continue to purchase these when available.

Awesome. Great colors and reflectivity. Good clear coat veneer layer. Made some custom drink coasters to fit an "aesthetic" themed room.

This is really amazing stuff. It is made from 1/4 inch wide strips of abalone/paua shell 0.006 thick laid on a black 3M adhesive backing. How they manage to saw the curved shell into straight strips I have no idea. I had a 1907 curio and relic Savage handgun in .380 and it was pretty Art-Deco to start with although it had black plastic grips made from gutta percha which I did not like. I made new walnut grips from 1/4 inch sheet and curved them. I then was able to stick this on the outside as you can curve it slightly without cracking. I clear coated it when done and that really brought out the colors so it resembles jewelry. Now the handgun really looks Art-Deco.I like to bring my collector guns to the range so the other shooters can Oooh and Aaah over therm and this piece will really dazzle the guys. I may not be able to hit the targets, but I will look fabulous.
