Purchased this to clean a relatives carpet. It was on sale at the time and seemed to be a no brainer. It does a great job of cleaning with the included solutions. Admittedly they don’t have much of a scent despite supposedly being fragranced, so I wouldn’t hope for a lovely smelling room after using it, but it did clean up a lot of dark patches on a grey carpet very well. It’s good quality and a good size, very portable, but slightly on the heavier side. My relative is elderly and I wouldn’t let her use this herself as it required quite a bit of elbow grease. One disadvantage is that the vacuum part of it is pretty poor, so don’t expect your carpet to be anywhere near dry after using this. It took about 24 hours for the carpet to dry out, probably didn’t help that the underlay got wet too and kept it moist. Because it stays wet for a while, it darkens the carpet while it’s wet and it might still look dirty, but after it dries, it does appear to have done a great job. It’s not the sort of thing that we’ll be using too often, but it’s handy to have in the house and it works well.

If you have puppies, this is honestly a must-have. Our pups are still young, so accidents happen, and this cleaner has already saved our carpets more times than I can count. We even had one really bad mess that had been in the carpet for a whole night, and it came up without any trouble at all. It’s easy to use, quick to grab when you need it, and takes so much stress out of puppy training. We wouldn’t be without it; it’s already paid for itself. We like the fact that it is lightweight, making it very portable even when full. I would say, depending on the mess and how much liquid you use, it dries within a couple of hours

worked well, easy to assemble, is powerful enough, cleaned carpet stains at first pass, too k some time to dry. Is an ok weigh, a bit pricey.

This is a substantial well made machine. Straightforward to use, empty, clean etc. High noise level when in use, carpet was still a bit damp after use, this was expected but it dried fairly quickly and made a good job of cleaning the mess without excess effort. Meagre amount of cleaning solution provided.

I bought this item because of the reviews and was not disappointed! I have 6 dogs & a grandchild so forever ensuring my home is spotless. I have always had the Henry vax but it’s large, awkward and heavy. I wanted something light that did the same job! When it was delivered it was compact and well made. Easy to assemble, lightweight and easy to use! The clear chambers enable you to see the grime. The suction is very strong with lots of attachment’s. The pet attachment was outstanding! When you have mobility issues it scrubs for you! It’s not quiet but it’s not loud either. The sofas were damp but not wet. It had exceptional power for such a little compact machine! I love it! Very pleased indeed!

This is great. Works very well, decent suction power and it came with starter chemicals so I could get straight on with cleaning my small rugs and motorhome carpets. Did the job very well. To do larger areas you would need a bigger full size unit but this works great and it comes with useful accessories especially the scrubber head which is really good for agitating the carpet pile. I think it's excellent value for money, especially considering I managed to get it on a price deal. I can recommend this Vax.

So happy with my new machine! Had a few persistent stains to remove that the Vax dealt with superbly. Our sofa cannot be washed or overly wetted with water, I was quite devastated when I saw a huge stain of a melted chocolate that oozed out of the wrapper, it was the main reason that prompted me to buy this cleaner. I got the pet version that comes with pet stain remover solutions and a special nozzle. It is quite loud but the suction is good and it's very easy to set up!

​A word of **warning** if you do choose this spotwash - you HAVE to register your warrenty with vax on their website in order for them to honour it, on ours the hose split and it leaked if tilted slightly. It is 100% necessary that you register for the warrenty, but in all honesty i would go with another product over this one if i had the choice again. I bought this Vax Spotwash in 2024 and initially, I was in love with it. As a parent of two, it was a lifesaver for quick clean-ups. The suction and cleaning results were 5-star quality, right up until the point it became unusable. ​As you can see in my video & photo, the hose split completely from the handle/brush attachment. This happened after roughly 8 -10 uses. Once that seal is broken, you lose most of the suction power. I wasn't rough with it; it simply seems to be a weak point where the plastic coil meets the rigid attachment. ​I ended up returning this to Amazon because, for an £80 machine, I expected it to last longer than a few months of light use. If you do buy one, please be extremely careful not to pull or overstretch the hose, as it doesn't seem durable enough to handle much tension. I was lucky that amazon did rectify the issue with me, although it wasn't without issues! I did look for a replacement hose because like I said, I loved the product before it failed, it was so easy to get out, set up and use and it had great power initially. And as a bonus its not huge so fits snug under the sink. I didn't manage to find any replacement parts anywhere, it was such a shame.

Attention c'est un appareil qui vient d'Angleterre donc la prise est anglaise ! Il suffit d'acheter un adaptateur mais il faut le savoir. Une fois bien branchée cette shampouineuse fait des merveilles. De nombreuses marques devraient s'en inspirer car tout a été pensé pour être pratique et efficace. Il y a plusieurs brosses de différentes tailles, 2 petits produits de lavage (pas obligé de racheter ceux-là ensuite), 2 bacs séparés pour l'eau propre et l'eau sale, un long fil de branchement. On mélange eau et produit, on allume (c'est bruyant), on vaporise le tissu, on frotte avec la brosse (merci la brosse rotative qui aide bien) et on aspire. Les bacs d'eau sont très faciles à enlever, remplir/vider et à remettre. La machine n'aspire plus si le bac d'eau sale est au max, c'est bon à savoir. Le rangement a été très bien pensé, avec un système tout simple pour enrouler le fil et le faire tenir, et un creux prévu pour enrouler le tuyau et le clipser, ainsi qu'une brosse. D'autres marques très connues d'aspirateur ou autre n'en font pas autant ! Le tout est compact et facile à ranger et à manipuler. C'est un petit investissement mais toujours moins cher que de racheter des tapis (ça a sauvé le mien des bêtises des animaux et des enfants), j'en suis très contente.

I have a new puppy and cleaning up muddy paw prints, bone drool, accidents and other things has been a breeze. I should have bought one of these YEARS ago! Its hard on your wrists after a while so its really just for spots and not large areas. This has a UK plug end, so you will need an adapter. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

This machine is amazing. It arrived on sat and I've just done my stair carpet. As an owner of dogs my stair carpet was looking dirty, washing by hand wasn't getting it clean properly. I decided to get a spot cleaner pet max by vax It's amazing. I've three German shepherd's and they are up and down all the time my carpet looks great when finished. I would recommend this to everyone the extra suction is fantastic. It cost's a bit more but it's worth it .
