Honestly, if you’re here you’re one of 2 people. Those who hated this movie and those who loved it. I for one loved this movie so of course when I saw this set getting released I couldn’t preorder fast enough. It’s exactly what I hoped it would be. Could lego have gone one step further and done some things differently? Absolutely. But that doesn’t take away from how much I enjoyed putting this together. I’ll start with the negatives so we can end on a good note. First, I felt like they could have done a lot better detail and design wise with the floating mountains/scenery. Secondly, if you’re gonna use glow in the dark pieces, go all the way. I was pretty sad that the entire tree of souls/Eywa did not glow. Now for the positives. Toruk is an absolute beast. He’s massive and I can’t wait to get the other set with the smaller banshees to put them together. The colors on him and the tree of souls are so pretty and vibrant. The custom made pieces for this set are so awesome. The direhorse is cool and can have a rider or pieced without one. The head of Toruk is flawless. I loved that you can have all the background set pieced out or you could combine them into one big background piece using the clips build into the sides. Toruk even has a little perch for himself as well so he can be standing or flying above the mountains. Also I know I ragged on the glow in the dark not being enough but the fact that it was even done in the first place was a huge plus for me. As an avatar fan, I am satisfied. If you too are a fan, you will enjoy your time with this one and the way it displays.

The coolest Lego set I’ve purchased and built so far, the Leonopteryx is very nice and the Tree of souls was fun to build!
