What a find this little charger is..... I have an elderly lead/acid battery that has had a hard life with many recharges from dead flat. I have a Ring(make) charger. The battery wasn't charging fully. I was unsure whether the battery or the charger was at fault. I went for the cheapest option and bought this charger before replacing the battery...... Wow! I used the PCM facility on this charger and left it doing it's stuff for a good 12-15 hours. It has totally rejuvenated the battery. My experience is that this it a good piece of kit and worth every penny. I hope it lasts a long time. The charger itself is quite compact and has a small cooling fan to stop it overheating. The cables are pretty short but perfectly adequate. When the battery is charged it switches itself off automatically but as far as I can see the PCM function just keeps going until it is deselected.I'm very pleased with this purchase so much that I have been moved to do this review. I'm delighted with this charger for casual home use. It's been used a fair bit when I got it with no problems and even seems to have brought an old car battery back to life which had been sitting approximately 18 months, using the 'repair' pulse setting to desulphate. Doesn't seem to overheat even when charging at a high amperage on deeply discharged batteries. All good.
