The citric acid comes in a plastic tub with a screw lid. Much better than either a plastic bag or a cardboard box. I use it for descaling my kettle. Two teaspoons 10g works fine for me.

Good citric acid for cleaning and cooking purposes. Only knocked a star off because in response to citric acid's rise in popularity as a household cleaning chemical, manufacturers have dramatically increased prices over the last 12 months!

I use this to descale my Kettle. I put a tablespoon of citric acid in my kettle and bring to the boil. It takes all the scale off and just needs a rinse out and is safe to use. Much easier and safer than other harsh descaler products. The tub is very handy as the lid is easy to get on and off and screws on tightly which is a lifesaver if it gets knocked over in the cupboard! I used to buy citric acid in bags but found they were messy to use and the crystals got everywhere. I have also used it to clean toilets and remove water stains from the sink. Would highly recommend.

I bought the food grade one for its plastic storage pot. I moved into a property with the worst and thickest lime scale in a toilet you could possibly imagine. None or my usual tricks worked... However this hack is amazing I poured it down and left it over night gave it a scrub and so much came off. It will take a few goes but wow

Super efficace

Pour un usage alimentaire ou domestique (détartrage "doux" de cafetière, bouilloire, etc). Ne sent pas du tout, contrairement au vinaigre, et l'acide citrique est aussi efficace sans pour abîmer les joints et les plastiques. Son conditionnement sec est plus sécurisant et moins encombrant que des bidons de vinaigre ménager. Cette solution est également bien plus économique que le vinaigre. Une cuillère à café suffit à détartrer une bouilloire chaude de 1.5 L en 30 secondes et le contenu peut ensuite servir à détartrer des WC ou des robinetteries. La concentration du mélange obtenu est, de fait, facilement ajustable selon le besoin.
