Well built hydro system
Brilliant kit for the price, sturdy and well built, easy to put together and perfect for hydro beginners. All the kit supplied can be modified, upgraded, played with..... Works perfectly as is but has potential to do so much more.Very pleased.

Potential but lacks functionality for basic user
It's almost guaranteed that this will leak as its quite difficult to get a good seal at the bases. The bucket design also means its hard to get your finger / hands to hold both sides of the nuts tight enough to secure them. Then even if you manage this, it will still leak. The pipes supplied are awfully short which means once the system is set up its almost impossible to reposition because moving 1 bucket means you need to move all buckets at exactly the same time.Currently I've added ptfe tape but this was after it had leaked so not holding out much hope as this would be better applied when empty... which leads me onto my next issue. There is absolutely no sensible way to empty this, you can't remove any pipes once there is water in the buckets otherwise its all over the place (hence me trying the fix whilst full).Overall the idea is good and makes sense but feels like it hasn't been well thought out for the average user.If you do decide to purchase this then.1. Make some modifications before you fill it.2. Modifications, add otfe tape around all joints and also consider a silicone sealant3. Consider purchasing longer pieces of tube and cut to a longer size4. Definitely only use this outdoors or somewhere you don't mind flooding.Shame, as this has so much potential, but ultimately, 5 big buckets and a couple pt pumps for £120

Easy to use
This product is very well made, I’ve read all the reviews saying it leaks, well that’s impossibleYou can put it together hand tight , I was a plumber by trade, as for saying it blocks up wellOn the the out put pipe, as one of the previous commitment said put the air stone next to theoutlet, this is the second one I’ve bought, I have upgraded mine but still as cheap as chipsHighly recommend

THIS SYSTEM WILL 100% FLOOD
DO NOT PURCHASE IT WILL 100% FLOODThis system will flood if you do not use mesh to cover the end of the pipe work for the system, my plant root system blocked the holes completely causing the system to flood, using mesh was the advice I was given when I contacted Product information, they told me they don’t supply them mesh, I still don’t know if using mesh Will resolve the problem only time will tell, do not use this system without sorting out some sort of way. to stop the root system from blocking off pipe work, this system does flood, I’ve used the system for 2 grows both Times it flooded, it flooded so many times its marked the ceiling beneath the grow tent, this is the worst design ever root system will block pipes YOU WILL GET FLOODED WITH THIS SYSTEM EVEN USING COPPER MESH TO HELP,, LOTS FLOOD DAMAGE

Warning - possibility of grow room flooding
I've been running this system for several weeks as I tune in all my gear.First off it was easy to set up. The pump recirculates the nutrient solution very effectively from the central tank to the 4 outer plant tanks. The air pumps and airstones are also good and effectively provide plenty of oxygen to the 4 mesh pots.Looking forward to planting I have been keeping an eye on all of the environmental figures Temp, Humidity, Water Temp, PH and EC - Also water level is important. So while fighting the effects of recent hot weather on grow room temp and the knock-on effect on water level/evaporation I found it necessary to top up water levels. NOt a problem it's simply par for the course.Reading the manufacturer's instructions the system has a 70l max fill rate and a 60l max working level. The water level is clear to see from the blue indicator on the main tank.Well, I had topped up several times with no issues but on one particular day I had refilled/topped up the water level may be a little too much. Just level with the max fill level.I later checked to see if everything was ok via my CCTV and couldn't believe my eyes. Two of the pots appeared to be overspilling into the grow room. I went to investigate and found my eyes were not deceiving me. There must have been about 10l of water on the floor of the room.I had recently added some hydroton to the mesh pots and thought maybe one had lodged in the return tube but found no blockages. 2 of the pots had low water level and the other 2 were overspilling. I have not yet found the cause. When I get the chance I will need to strip it all down and check for anything that may have caused the overspill.I have been running this now for a few days with the water level around 50l to prevent any risk of overspilling simply because I'm not at the grow room to be able to make any quick changes to prevent another flood.Next week I will drain the system and get everything cleaned and put back together in anticipation of the first grow.I don't expect there to be any problems as I will not be filling the water to the same 70l mark. I will keep it at 65l max for the first week and then allow that to reduce to 60l naturally.Overall I am satisfied that this system is good to go.I was going to give 2 stars due to this incident however that would be unfair. So three stars and a warning!! Be very careful about filling this to max water level.I will update as and when I see how this system matures with use.

It works very well, easy to assemble
The system works very well, it's ideal for a first time grower, and the team at hydrogrow are only too happy to help solve any problems you may encounter

i would buy another
the pumps are more than adequate for this system but I like a little more bubbles in my RDWC systems, that's the only reason i never gave the full 5 stars, its made of heavy duty plastic and resins so it will last for ages and the seals are nice and strong, and not one leak, overall the RDWC system is really good value for the money you are spending! I went to my local grow store and asked "how much would I be for a 4 pod RDWC system with a master unit" and the price they quoted me was triple the price of this unit(and that was the starter ones), I have to honestly say that for the cash its a steal. I've been using my aeros IV for over a year now and never had one problem with it, for the cash its got to be one of the best on the market
