Rimmel Fix & Perfect Makeup Primer, 30ml (Pack of 1)

This is a fantastic understated primer. I use in the morning and my makeup still looks fresh and in place when I come to wash my face at night around 7 or 8pm. It honestly is great and the price is amazing. I think there has been a huge surge in makeup products and people like fancy bottles and buying into items that go 'viral'.. which is not always a good thing. Rimmel brand has been around for a long time and sometimes budget items like this can be amazing. It does not have to be advertised and over-hyped on social media, or come in a fancy bottle, to be a good product and I find most of the new products are pretty basic and/or terrible quality. I will stick to what I know and this is a great product.

This is by far the best primer I have used. I have tried: W7 Prime Magic Face Primer Camera Ready Rimmel Stay Matte Primer Revlon PhotoReady Perfecting Primer (around £12) and even the Benefit Porefessional Primer (which is over £20!) I actually prefer it to the Benefit primer! Primer is supposed to make your make-up go on smoothly, providing a dewy and even finish. It's also supposed to make your make-up last all day. This primer leaves my skin luxuriously soft without feeling greasy or heavy. I personally never have problems with my makeup going patchy and it does last a full 16 hour day for me (although I do use good makeup - i.e. Max Factor Face-finity All Day Flawless foundation and Estee Lauder double wear concealer). I am 21 years of age and have normal, healthy skin. How I use the product: I moisturise my face with Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Anti-ageing moisturiser and wait around 20 seconds before applying a pea-sized amount to my face. I sweep it over the areas that I am going to be applying make-up to (my nose, cheeks, chin and forehead) and wait about 20 seconds before applying my foundation with a foundation brush. This really seems to sink into my skin and provide added moisture, making my skin look dewy and fresh. On days where I have been rushing or daydreaming whilst doing my makeup I have applied my foundation and wondered why my foundation hasn't glided on seamlessly and looks somewhat dull. Then I have realised that I forgot to put this primer on! Primer really does make a difference to your make-up and this one is perfect. It is the right consistency (thick and creamy but not heavy) and has no unpleasant smell and doesn't clog my pores since I rarely ever have spots or blemishes. As previously mentioned, I actually prefer it to the expensive Benefit Porefessional primer which did not leave my skin dewy. I have used this product for years, its perfect for me and I very much doubt I will find a better one :)

It is a great primer. It hydrates and feels great on the skin. Only negative is the strong smell. It makes my eyes water sometimes because of how strong it is. Otherwise, a good and cheap alternative for a primer.

I have used this primer from Rimmel for many years. For the price, it is a great product, has a long lasting finish that smooths your pores and makes your skin both look and feel smooth. I struggle with dry skin, yet this primer keeps my skin feeling hydrated all day. Sits well under makeup and lasts for a full days wear even when busy such as at the gym. A must use in my skincare routine. Definitely recommend.

It's a good primer can be worn with out without makeup, spreads lovely over your skin, it's not a thick texture, only thing I don't like about this primer it's not good for oily skin.

I'm a lady if a certain age who doesn't want botox so this is ideal for me. It's not polyfilla but it does a great seemless job of giving my skin a good base for slapping on some foundation. I think it's value for money as you don't need a lot ....I think it makes a difference to your overall look. Makeup seems to last longer and look better.

This doesn't compare with an expensive Primer I have been using, In that I find I have to blend my foundation more with this Primer from Rimmel. However, for the cost, it is pretty good and my skin definitely looks better with this than without it. It helps to smooth the appearance of my skin and it feels soft A little goes a long way I found and it goes on easily I would probably buy this one again

I'm convinced this is the best drugstore primer out there. Doesn't break me out, creates a smooth base for makeup with or without other products on my face. Makeup holds up well for at least the first 5 hours before the sweat peeks through, but it keeps your skin from looking cakey and dry throughout the day. Natural-satin finish depending on what makeup you use. I've repurchased this bottle 3 times now, this is a good one.

Skin protection has always been hard for me to remember to put on to increase anti-aging. But now I don’t have to remember I just have to put on my primer and go!
