Q: Would this hold a large A4 executive folder or a clipboard?

as long as it isn't more than about 2cm longer, width is ok.

Q: Is this Real leather straps or cheap PU ‘leather’

Is real leather strap，this bag made of 90%canvas and 10% leather 。

Q: Is this really the dark brown as per the photos and with genuine leather fittings? I don't want to waste my time ordering and just returning.

I've had a bag like for about 6 months. The material is a reddy coffee brown and the straps are dark brown. The straps are held by magnetic poppers, so you won't wear out the leather through the buckles and it is quick to open. The front pockets have normal denim poppers. It's a rugged bag and doesn't show signs of splitting yet. It's good for A4 things. It's definitely a man's bag. I like it.

Q: How much does it weigh empty? I was thinking of using it as an inflight bag.

It is a heavy duty canvas bag with some leather and metal parts. It relatively heavy - I would guess at about 1-1.5kg. Still good as an in flight bag for me though.
