Oust Powerful All Purpose Descaler, Limescale Remover – Ideal for Kettles, Coffee Machines, Irons and Shower Heads (1 x 3 Sachets)

I have tried various products and different methods to periodically clean and descale my kettle and steam-iron. Oust is the best product I have used over the years, and I keep returning to it. I find it simple to use, and extremely effective. The instructions for use are clear and set out in detail on each pouch of liquid. Note that with a steam iron, you heat the iron before you add the Oust and do not reheat it or you could have clouds of "oust steam" in the room. Only use it on your steam iron if the Instructions say that you can - some irons have special cartridges and should not be descaled with something like Oust. I have tried different products, but I find Oust the most effective.

This product is very good for dissolving limescale in my kettle, no denying that. The last time I purchased it, in 2021, a pack of 3 sachets cost £4.10. But now, although the individual pack price has decreased - minimum 2 x 3 sachet packs @ £1.40, there is added postage of £19.99. Presumably it is being sent from overseas. So the price for 2 packs x 3 sachets is £21.39. A good way to lose customers, I will be buying something else. A shame, because this is a good product.

I use this to descale my kettle every 2 months. It is easy to use, just follow few simple steps on the instructions, it doesn’t leave any smell afterwards and it is value for money. The only pitfalls is that you can’t fill the kettle full during descale process, or the water will spill, which mean this leave the top part of the kettle unable to be descaled at the same time. Otherwise it will be given 5 stars.

Very Easy to use !!! Did a Super Job at Cleaning the inside of my Kettle. FILL KETTLE HALF FULL. BOIL KETTLE. POUR THE CONTENT OF THE PACKET INTO KETTLE. WAIT 10 -15 MINS . IT GETS RID OF LIME SCALE BUILD UP SUPER GREAT 👌👍. KETTLE LIKE NEW NOW 🙂 RINSE KETTLE OUT AFTER THE SOLUTION HAS DONE THE JOB & RE FILL KETTLE WITH COLD WATER AND BOIL AGAIN THEN POUR OUT & RINSE AGAIN 👍 I BOILED MINE TWICE WITH CLEAN WATER & POURED OUT EACH TIME JUST TO BE SURE THE SOLUTION WAS OUT OF KETTLE !!! ITS SUCH A GOOD FEELING WHEN YOU ACTUALLY BUY SOMETHING THAT WORKS 😊 THIS STUFF IS Bloody GOOD !!! I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE.

We live in a very hard water area. I've been using white vinegar to descale my kettle for years - but it stinks out the kitchen, takes a long time, and you have to use quite a lot of vinegar to get the job done (so it's not really the cheap option is appears to be). I've also tried "Calsolve" powder, but found it to be no more effective. I tried one of these Oust sachets out of curiosity and I have to say it was much better. It removed 90% of the scale after 10 mins, and warming the water up again, swilling it around and leaving it for another couple of minutes got rid of the last bit. It doesn't smell anything like as bad as vinegar. I'll be sticking with these from now on.

Wow!! When I watched the video, I was skeptical as promotional videos do not always portray the reality. I followed the instructions in the video as those on the pack were just pictures and I did not want to ake any mistakes. Half filled my limescaled (electric) kettle with water, boiled it and added a sachet of Oust. I'd recommend a little under half-full as the mix foams a la homemade vocano model style with the "half fill with water" instruction. Waited the recommended 10 minutes and emptied, rinsed - voila! the kettle was clean! All the limescale gone, even the spout was clean. Filled the kettle up to half and boiled again as instructed. I can't believe how easy this was and how quickly the limescale dissolved. My only regret is not taking "before" and "after" pictures. I have this on Subscribe and Save now! Great product.

This is my go to product when it comes to descaling my kettle. Was able to buy this packet of 3 descalers for £1. So very good value for money. Super easy to use. Boil your kettle 1st, I then place my kettle in the sink and very slowly pour in one of the liquid sachets. Be aware, you need to add the sachet slowly because otherwise the product reacts to the hot water and the kettle will be a over flowing mess of bubbles. I let the solution stand for 10 minutes, pour out the solution, rinse my kettle and then boil my kettle several times afterwards. Each time discarding of the hot water, rinsing, and adding fresh water to boil again. Kettle is left spotless with no traces of limescale left behind. Brilliant product that I will always buy for my kettle.

It's a good product and works well but full of chemicals ... buy citric acid instead.

At 2.16 pm, delivery guy (Sahil) sends SMS to ask if he can leave item outside. Before I could check SMS and respond, at 2.18 he sends pic of item left outside already. J&T Express should tell its staff not to act smart. At least ring the bell to check if someone is home. Item may be small size but it could be expensive

Ho acquistato questo prodotto per provare a recuperare un bollitore usato con del latte invece dell'acqua. Presentava incrostazioni che non sono riuscito a scalfire con i classici prodotti che si trovano solitamente in casa. Il risultato dopo aver ripetuto due volte il procedimento descritto nelle istruzioni è stato magnifico. Il bollitore è tornato in condizione pari al nuovo e con zero fatica. Ho provato anche ad usarlo per decalcificare una macchina del caffè a capsule (usando alcuni accorgimenti) con buoni risultati. Consigliatissimo

Loosened up the scale in my iron pretty well, but since I have extremely hard water only did so much. I was satisfied, though, because at least most of the brown “rock-like” stuff emitting from the steam vents disappeared after 2 cleanings. If possible, remove the water from the iron after each ironing use. Keeps scale buildup down. Would buy again.
