Great pen!
The Pentel Brush Sign Pen is ideal mostly for calligraphy due to its smaller nib and great flexibility. It had a steady ink flow allowing you to work slowly and precisely. I have never used this brush pen and the ink flow wasn’t consistent. Its an extremely dark black, probably deeper than other brush pens available such as the Tombow Fudenosuke. The tip is extremely thin and flexible, it isn’t rough and even after wear continues to have a thin point. It also dries fairly quickly and has a clip which is strong and functional. This pen doesn’t bleed too much maybe a bit more on thinner paper. The tip also responds well to pressure quickly and effectively making it great for cartoon drawing and brush lettering. The pen is slightly expensive but looks great with a black body and discreet silver glitter throughout the design. I would say be careful with pressure, it can be used to much and cause the pen to fray prematurely. The pen is also slightly small but is still useable. Overall this pen is great light and and can be used to achieve so many lines of thickness.

Wonderful product even if the ink isn't exactly waterproof...
This is a lovely pen for weighted linework. I use mine for drawing and artwork - I don't really do calligraphy - and I bought mine at least 4 months ago now. I use it on and off but its been very reliable. It's got a lovely nib in that it's not a pen that with the faintest touch gives you an awfully thick line, but it also doesn't require a huge amount of pressure for deeper lines. It flows naturally and doesn't really have any flaws in my opinion about how it feels and the lines it produces. I absolutely love this product and my sketchbook is filled with various sketches done with this pen.HOWEVER: the ink is NOT waterproof. If you're going to use this pen to do lineart, it should only be for dry meida. I know that with the use of alcohol markers, water-based markers, watercolours, goache, inks etc. that the ink doesn't exactly bleed, but it contaminates the colour you're using. You can get around this by being extremely accurate with your colouring and never touching the lines but that is very difficult. As an alternative I recommend the Tombow Fudenosuke Soft Brush Pen.Tombow "Fudenosuke" Soft Brush Pen - BlackAs this pen feels very similar (the feel is slightly different in pressure sensitivity so to speak) and the ink in this pen doesn't effect whatever colour you're going to put on afterwards. In most cases, the Pentel Fude Touch Sign Pen is a wonderful, delightful product, but just be aware that if you're planning on using it with wet media that it's a risky thing to do. I knew about this before I bought mine and thus I bought both this and the Tombow Fudenosuke together since I don't really use colour in my sketchbook and therefore this pen is actually my favourite out of the two since I personally like the feel of it more than the Tombow (but only slightly and that might be because I've used the Pentel more.)I hope this helps any wet media users to make an informed decision on if this pen will work for them or not so they don't get caught out.

Good basic pen for beginners.
Pen nib made it quite easy me to to do basic beginner hand lettering/calligraphy. The harder tip means I didn't have to exert that much control over the pen. Ink is sometimes not as solid and black as I would like but good price for beginner pen.

Brilliant for handlettering, especially beginners
This is such an amazing pen! It came quickly in the mail (about 4 days) and it writes magnificently! The pen is very smooth to write with and is very fine so you can be very precise with what you write. I am a beginner at handlettering and this pen has improved the overall look of the writing because of the fine tip making crisp thin lines for upstrokes, and the brush thickening when you apply pressure on the downstrokes. The pen is nice and long so holding it is a dream and the nib is not a massive brush, which would be difficult to use for beginners, but instead is smaller and gives more control. I don't think you need specialist equipment to begin handlettering but at only £2 this is worth making the learning experience much easier at such an affordable price!

Smooth, beautiful lines, easy to control
This is the best brush pen I have tried to date ... and I've tried a few! Superbly smooth, beautiful translation of ink to paper. It's a smaller nib, but on the downstroke creates a good thick line. The upstroke is fantastic as other pens struggle here, creating a line that is too thick or 'frayed', but not this pen. It is equally clean but delightfully thin. I only have one disappointment ... you can't refill it and I don't ever want to throw it away. :-( PLEASE MAKE THIS NIB with PERMANENT INK and for REFILLABLE PENS. Thank you, Pentel. I'll still buy more in the meantime. You can't help just writing with it ... heavenly.

practicing calligraphy
I love how pigmented the ink is and usually dont say this often but how both soft and sturdy the tip it...dries quickly on paper, no leakage, and works well on different types of paper.need a whole set of different colours now

Not the pen I thought it was
It was still not the firm tip, that I was expecting

My favourite go-to type of calligraphy brush pen
So neat for calligraphy writing, a bit on the thin side.
