The Midas touch for my plants!
This rooting gel seems pretty legit. I’ve used it a few times now. I’ve used it on a couple of Pothos cuttings, a raspberry cutting, and most recently a couple of red beets. I had to thin out some beet seedlings because more germinated than I expected, so I used this to hopefully jump start the next growing phase as they had no roots when I pulled them. So far, the Pothos cuttings are thriving and the raspberry plant is too. The beets I will have to wait a little longer but I’m 2 for 2 when using this product so I can only imagine everything will be good. The gel itself is a bright red color, reminds me of red kool-aid, and has the typical viscosity I would expect from a rooting gel. I’ve tried a sample size of Clonex from the local hydro store and this seems very comparable to that, just a different color. This Midas rooting gel has a higher amount of Indole-3 Butyric Acid (IBA) than Clonex; .35 vs .31 respectively. Just something to note. This came in a 3 pack…. About a lifetime supply for me lol. The label peels off to reveal Using Instructions and Precautionary/ Medical help instructions. It was packaged well and were not leaking or damaged during shipping. The instructions tell you not to dip the cutting into the jar directly which is typical for all rooting gels. So I pour a small amount into a plastic to-go ramekin cup. I got them in a 20 pack from the dollar store. I use a toothpick to apply the gel to the cutting. That way, I’m not transferring anything into the cup and it’s a lot easier to apply and can move it where I want it. When I’m done, I can just throw out the cup and toothpick and there’s no mess or cleaning a dish.So far, I’m happy with this Midas rooting gel and will continue to use it for my cuttings. I look forward to a lot more plants with happy roots! I highly recommend this product!

Can't Say Much Yet
Used the hormone gel today on three rose cuttings and three geranium cuttings. Placed the rose cutting in some cubes especially designed for starting cuttings and placed the geraniums in a mixture of coco coir and perlite. Won't know the results for at least 3 weeks. Will update when results are known. Easy to use but did waste some by putting a bit too much in the spoon. Expensive compared to powder which is what I normally use. Update coming on approx 5/1/23.

Mixed results
I think I’m doing something wrong because my results haven’t been a great start compared with others who have reviewed this product. I’ll try again, but so far I haven’t been successful.

Scared to use
The poison warnings for humans and animals on this have me too scared to open it. I have dogs and cats and I also have hand tremors so I’m more likely than not apt to spill or drip some all over them place

I'm never going back to the powdered rooting hormone I've used for decades.
I'll never go back to powdered rooting hormone after using MIDAS HYDRO Rooting Hormone Gel for Cuttings. I LOVE this stuff! It's so much cleaner to use than the powder that the wind always seems to catch at a critical moment when I'm propagating plants. It also seems like the gel gets better coverage than the hit-and-miss coverage I usually get with a powder. Since the cuttings should not come in contact with the gel in the jar, I poured a very small amount of the hormone gel on a disposable paper plate and used a soft paint brush to completely cover the cut area of my 6" plant cuttings. It will be a week or two before I know the success rate for the cuttings I propagated today, but I have very high expectations.

Good so far
I've only had it a couple weeks so I'll have to update later about the effectiveness, but so far so good. We've been using the gel for both indoor and outdoor plants. I'm seeing some roots coming in on my houseplants. It seems expensive at first, but since you're getting 3 and each jar comes with a good amount, it's actually a decent deal. I didn't really need 3 since a little seems to go a long way with this stuff. But I'll never run out of rooting hormone now, haha. The fact that it's bright red is a little off-putting, so just a heads up on that. Other than that - working well so far!

Easy to use!
I got this MIDASHIDRO rooting hormone to propagate a few plats that I like. I have used it first on some raspberry cuttings and it seemed to work well. To apply, I cut the cutting at a 45-degree angle, I dipped it in rooting gel (I used a small plastic lid for dipping since the main container should not be used for dipping), and placed the cutting in the soil. It is hard to see the root form since I do not want to disturb the plants, but the plants are doing well. There are three containers included, so it is great for people who do a lot of cloning. I would recommend this rooting gel to a friend!

Great root growth!
I have only had this for about a month now, but I did some testing on some cuttings. Those that were dipped in the growth hormone and then placed in my propagation flasks grew roots much faster than clippings from the same plant that did not have the growth hormone dip. So far, I am impressed. When you first receive it, ensure the container is not sitting on its side before you open it. The gel is not very viscous, so it will make a little mess if not given time to settle and level. There isn't a noticeable smell at all, although I didn't stick it up to my nose either. So far, so good!
