Two things!First it fits a medium sized mixing bowel, it doesn’t clip on like I thought it would, but sits atop the bowl.Secondly the seller was amazing. The package apparently lost by Royal Mail and the seller sends a replacement next working day so not to miss Christmas! Great service

After reading many reviews of this not fitting and some being cheap Chinese clones - I was wary of buying it. Also, my model 5KSM125 (that I bought on Amazon) isn't listed as a model it fits and isn't even listed on the KitchenAid web site or any site selling spares - rather worrying! But it has a 4.8l stainless steel bowl so I took a chance. It came in a sturdy Kitchenaid box (so it's a genuine part) and it fits fine. Perfect.

Needed a spare one of these - not something one 'raves' over, it just does exactly what it needs to do with my Artisan mixer!I do have to say that, in terms of this kind of product, in some ways the one I had with a previous (much cheaper, but not as robust or good as the Artisan itself) stand mixer was better - that shield could be fixed in place, and stay there, whereas this one needs to be put on, taken off, and has several gaps where flour and icing sugar still escape in large enough quantities to make a mess, depending on what it's being used for. If only KitchenAid had made this possible! It's a relatively small design flaw, and one I'll live with because of the quality of the overall 'parent' product - I use my KitchenAid nearly every day for everything from cakes to mincing my own meat, so I can live with a pouring shield that I only use for some of those jobs - but it's why it's only getting four stars from me.

Very good branded products from kitchen aid u won’t go wrong with their products, it is a bit on the pricey side but in the long haul it pay’s its dues

Absolute rubbish, I am so very disappointed in this I have bought a kitchen aid to replace my old Kenwood stand mixer I would’ve expected KitchenAid to have better accessories but I have to say Kenwood’s are far far superior. If my Husband I’ve not opened this and thrown away the packaging I would’ve been returning it I bought it to fit on the glass bowl which I was assured it would fit and it really doesn’t it’s a piece of cheap rubbish I would suggest you do not buy it.

Does what it's supposed to although watcg it if using icing sugar. You do get covered if you're not careful

Made to the same standard as the KitchenAid mixer. Quality item, a useful accessory.

Although this seems to be a genuine Kitchenaid accessory, it didn’t fit my glass bowl and after a bit of research I discovered that Kitchenaid don’t have a splash guard for their glass bowls, only for the metal ones. I’ve returned it.

A good addition to the stand mixer. Go to kitchenaid website and use the 'what pouring shield fits my machine?' App to get the right shield model number . The shield purchased here fits the 4.5 qt and 5 qt bowls. So on the 5 qt bowl it is a bit loose, but this is not a problem if used properly. Follow the shield instructions and the machine instructions and it works pefectly. Easier if paper is used for pouring dry ingredients and a glass measuring cup for liquids. Key is not to run the machine on too high a setting when blending dry ingredients or sloppy wet mixtures. Once blended speed can be increased if necessary and their was no problem with the shield falling off, vibrating, or ejecting ingredients. Product well made and in good shape upon delivery.
