Could be better made, and better sized
My daughter suffers from Reynaud’s syndrome so, when I see what looks like a really good pair of thermal gloves, I get them for her. However, these (and another order) arrived on Friday the 13th..… but it was not a good day for me. I’m not superstitious, but neither of the products met my expectations on this occasion. Firstly, I thought I’d been sent the wrong colour gloves. I would have liked all black but, from the three available colours, I chose denim (fleece) as these looked the darkest - but they are not what I’d call denim. In fact, I wasn’t sure if I’d been sent denim, grey, or even black. At first sight the gloves looked OK. When ordering, the words that had leapt out at me were “deerskin, suede, and leather”, so I was surprised by how little deer skin there actually is. I’d say each glove is about one third suede leather deerskin, and two thirds fleece. Also the suede feels thinner than I expected. My daughter’s fingers are longer than mine, but my palms are wider than hers, so I opted for size M - as gloves that are too small make fingers even colder in really chilly weather - but in my opinion this size M is enormous for average sized British hands. As it’s not yet bitterly cold, it’s hard to verify the claims that the Heatlock Thermal Layer keeps hands warm even in temperatures of -20°F (-29°C). I’ve read what the ‘Heatlock system’ is, but I’m not convinced that it’s any better than other thermal gloves, which are less than half the price.I was going to give these gloves to my daughter next month, as part of her birthday present, but in my opinion the quality is not good enough for a present, so I’ll probably keep them myself. I have quite chunky hands, and thick wrists, but these gloves are too wide for me; the fingers are too long (and wide) and the shirred elastic wrists are too loose (they are probably more suited to men). The raw edged hems on the wrists are jaggedly cut, of uneven widths, and are not properly stitched in places. Overlocking would have disguised these faults.

Well made gloves
ordinary and cheap Thinsulate gloves seem to suffer damage with an eager dog on the end of its lead. The deerskin palm seemed a good solution to this problem so I decided to splash out on these gloves. The are made in China, to a very good standard and so far work well for the purpose they were bought. After several outings they have not stretched and so I would be careful about sizing as they are a little tight for my hands at the moment and show no sign of loosening. I have fairly short fingers and it was a toss up to go for S or M, I selected the later but suspect that L would have worked fine for me.

Comfort, durability and good looks.
At the time of buying these gloves I actually bought a pair for my wife, which I have reviewed and is live on my account. These Gloves are packaged in the same fashion as the other pair in a reusable waterproof bag which might well come in handy. As I mentioned in the other review I live on Salisbury Plain, which can get pretty mean. I generally continue the long Dog walks and don’t let the weather bother me but I do forget to take gloves and have lost a few pairs in the past. Now let’s get one thing straight here I am a chap and these are definitely gloves built and designed with a man in mind.I ordered large and having large I can report that the fit is good with the glove finishing just above the wrist, the elastic cuff helps keep the glove in place and the warmth inside. Now back to the glove. The inner is lovely and velvety soft, they are a dream to wear and the outer is deerskin so has wind and water repelling qualities. The fleece outer does dry quickly when wet but the gloves still keep your hands warm.Having never had Deerskin before I must admit I was really impressed by how versatile it is, the gloves allow you to do everyday tasks easily and the thicknesses of the glove does not hinder. The build quality appears to be good and the stitching strong which is a bonus for me.These will certainly be in my car and I will try not to get cold hands again.

Definitely keep your hands warm
My main aim in ordering these gloves was to keep my hands warm while out walking. They certainly do that and are very comfortable. Size-wise, they came up somewhat larger than expected. I am a medium in most types of glove but these were more like a Large. I also would have liked it if the elastic around the wrist was a little stronger. However, they are a good price and the quality is also good - I feel confident I could shovel snow with them - so overall, I am happy.

Really good
I like the gloves cos they are warm and finger movement is really easy. Unfortunately M was little bigger for my hand. My palm is bigger then my fingers and it is really hard to find gloves. If you have normal hands, definitely worth looking at. I haven't tested it in the rain so I can't say if these are waterproof or not.

VERY COMFORTABLE - BUT TAKE CARE WITH SIZING
I like these gloves, and find them warm, soft and comfortable in the garden; the yellow palms mean that a dropped one is easily located.I have the typical, average hands of a 6ft1" male, and I believe that in the good old days, I used to choose a British size 7 when I chose a new pair of Dents'. My palms, laid on a ruler, are 4" across and my hands 8" long. Being aware that oriental sizing tends to undersizing by our standards, I ordered the XL, and they proved a very snug fit indeed; in fact I had a little difficulty getting them on out of the box. However, after a few wearings, they stretched into a very comfortable, cosy fit.But if you consider yourself a man with large hands compared to the average, you are likely to be disappointed.

Great but...
Bought these gloves in the hope that they would help with my Raynaulds condition, but sadly they didn't. I am still wearing them as they are comfortable and warm and they wash up well.
