Does a lot of things and will grow with your child
The media could not be loaded. We brought this toy for our 9 month old son as an interactive toy. It does not disappoint and will grow with your baby.THE GOOD1. Very sturdy and I do not see it breaking with normal falls2. Most of the area is plastic. Only the ears and hands need cleaning from time to time so very easy to maintain3. The battery lasts ages. I have had it for 5 months now and have not changed the batteries once4. The sound quality is brilliant and not the tin robotic sounds you find in other toys5. The best feature is when you touch its tummy and it asks you to say something. It repeats it back with dancing and music which the kids really enjoyTHE NOT SO GOOD1. It only has once dance move. Would have been better to add in a couple more2. Like other toys, stages or age control switches might have been better. I don’t see babies using most of its features as they won’t get it. Older kids (2-3) year old might gain and enjoy it moreBrilliant product and well done fisher price on another gem.

Believe the hype - it's BRILLIANT!
Purchased as a Christmas present for my 5 month old and it is by far the best present she received. Whilst she isn't able to play with it herself just yet, she is nevertheless mesmerised by it. The lights, sounds and movement really capture and hold her attention.Beat Bo says numerous phrases and plays numerous songs when the buttons are pressed on either his feet or his tummy. He also dances (wiggles from side to side) and his tummy lights up and changes colour. It's really cute and fun and, unlike most toys, this is not a noise that gets irritating (although maybe I'll eat my words in a few more months!).My 18-month old niece also has this and I would say that she is at the ideal age to get the most out of this toy. She loves dancing and music and so loves having a little boogie with her Beat Bo.Beat Bo definitely has it's uses for older children too e.g. one of the songs which it plays is 'the alphabet song' during which Beat Bo recites the alphabet. A fun and straightforward way for children to learn the alphabet without really having to try.Overall a brilliant toy which definitely lives up to it's reputation.

Beatbo do do do do. A Beatbo do do do. Wiggle wiggle.
Bought as a Christmas present for a 9 month old and 30 month old at the time they loved it. 18 months on and it still gets some use. The boys still play with it, when we let them. The songs and rhymes are easy to learn and it's upbeat and fun. They've both danced and played with it lots over the past year or so. My eldest decided to draw a new face with felt tip pens, which happily I was able to write off. There's multiple modes, and thankfully sound levels. It's bright, colourful and fun. When Beatbo dances there's a servo / robotic noise which was unexpected at purchase, but it again is kind of fun.My boy's favourite mode is the record feature. You push the red button, Beatbo gives instructions and you have a few seconds to record something. That recording is then speed up and the pitch alerted, which can make for funny playback loops.Great present, despite the ear worms.I'd certainly recommend and buy again.

Warning!! Songs will get stuck in your head!!
The media could not be loaded. Warning!! The beatbo songs are super catchy and get stuck in your head and you end up mindlessly singing them ...... rainbow colour song is a major culprit! Haha- very entertaining- Heavy and sturdy , doesn’t fall over easily and seems durable- Batteries that come with it have lasted ages and still going strong!- Two sound levels- Lots of songs and dances- Very bright and colourful lights- easy press buttons for children , even my 4 month old can manage to whack it!This is an amazingly entertaining toy, if not for the kids then the adults! Leaving random recordings on it and then beatbo will put it in a re-mix! Highly entertaining!I love this particular one as the light up colour square on his chest is so big, my little boy loves colours and this is very eye catching for him or an amazing light show in the dark! It is also another press button so he does more little songs and dances if you press the chest in.Only negative I have is the mechanical sound it makes when moving , the higher volume level drowns it out so it’s noting major! Tried to capture this in a video for the review.Would recommend as it’s a great play toy and learning toy all in one.Quite impressive!

Great fun with song, colour and dance!
Although this toy is aimed at 9 month olds, my now 6 month old son has played with and loved this toy ever since he was 3 months old. The vibrant colours and catchy tunes he now recognises always put a smile on his face. He even reaches for it when we pass the book case it stands on.There's different buttons + tummy to press, each with its own set of songs/dances and you can record your own phrase. The little robot moves in line with the beat while its tummy lights up red/yellow/blue/green/purple/pink/orange. It's a great way for little ones to learn colours, their abc, to clap/jump and to count (to 10). I can't wait to see how my little boy will continue to play with it in a few months time.

So good, we bought it twice!
Our little boy loved looking at the flashing lights before he could walk/talk and would kick and giggle to it. Now, at 28 months he’s dancing to the music, and recording sayings for it to sing back; he loves it!We have the smaller one, and he loves that one also, as it sings different songs! We bought a second larger one for our nephew, and he loves his too! Highly recommended for light entertainment. My only niggle is the quality of the playback recording; it is not clear, and sounds very robotic. But sometimes that’s part of the fun!
