Okay, so I have only just brought this - so time will tell about quality - but first impressions are that it's well made and thought out. Big plus, the cable disconnects from the adapter. When your tank is flush to wall, it's not possible to slip a large plug or power adapted behind the cabinet - but because the PSU and lead come apart I didn't have this problem.The light was slightly short for my liking but that is a tank design issue as the internal filter of my Lido 120 takes up a lot of space. I fitted the light to the inside of the tank at the bottom of the back and once I realised my mistake of facing the LEDS towards the back, it was actually bright.The good bit is that this is really a wonderful device to bring illumination to a tank and highlight the colours of plants, ornaments and fish in ways that a standard white tube cannot. Having come from a beginner's Pets at Home tank with separate blue and white LED lighting that could be used to create good day and night for the tank, I was disappointed by the Lido system of white on or off. A little investigation shows that Juwel's own blue and white light system is very expensive. This £15 device is much better.As it's at the bottom, mine creates an almost sci-fi illumination from below but this is great for dusk, evening lighting and the different range of colours can be used to great effect. The blue is great for night lighting, the green brings out the colours of the plants and the red makes it look like an underwater volcano. My favourite is the smooth transition which in my vary active community tank really seems to pacify the fish before lights out.The remote I assume is IR so needs line of sight, but this isn't an issue unless you intend of changing the settings often. I open the cabinet door, turn on and then off before bed. I suppose I could leave the sensor bit outside the cabinet if necessary, but it's not worth it.I can think of nothing to fault at this price, but I have a few suggestions:1. It might be useful to have a diffuser for the glass. When inside the tank, you can see the individual LEDs .2. The inclusion of some suction cups to secure the wire to the glass would be helpful.3. The ability to power more than one light from a single PSU.4. A timer unit.If I can figure out the best way to add these lights to hood, I shall be buying more.

This has been a very nice addition to my fish tank and the range of colours and effects available are great (one of them is a bit techno - I hope my fish isn’t epileptic!)I have decided to go for 4 stars though based on the actual quality of the unit. It’s very lightweight and of a lower quality than I was expecting - while it appears (and for obvious reasons should be) watertight - I decided to keep it above the water level in the tank due to the apparent quality of the unit just to be sure.I’m happy to use it like this, and my fish seemVery happy also!but from the photos and descriptions I saw at the time of buying, I did expect it to possibly be a step up so that’s why I’ve gone 4*

This is the first LED light I have used in my aquarium. I was surprised at the colour range in a product at this price, I did find the remote liked to work or not as it wished, but I preferred to use the switch anyway. I still give this product 5 stars because I am so impressed with it.I would highly recommend this product and seller.I did not contact the seller regarding the remote, as it works perfectly using the switch.This is my second review.I have just ordered another of these fantastic lights to go on the other back panel of my trigon 350 corner tank.Highly recommend both product and seller.

WOW.... I was not expecting this. Reading the comments about it not being powerful enough ect.. This light is absolutely brilliant for my 120 litre tank and the options for colours are great. There are a couple of small issues such as the speed the sequence settings go at are way too fast, even the slowest one changes colours too quickly. Also if anything happens to the remote (such as falling in the water ect..) then there is no way of using turning the light on without it. Even with these issues I still think this is a great piece of equipment and a bargain at the price.

I bought this as an alternate lighting for my tanks as the built in lighting packed in and the replacement parts were extremely expensive. Such good value for money ! Was scared the suckers were not going to stick to my back wall, but it sticks perfectly, easily movable and adjustable to suit the tank. Love the different colours! Would definitely recommend this product as an alternate light for your tank.

Good value/size rgb light for 60 ltr aquarium. White light not very strong but bright enough to show the fish/aquarium, without being too strong or colored lights too weak. Like the brightness high or low function. Just about right for 6o ltr/60 cm aquarium. Strong glass tube and rubber suckers. Got left out of 5 star purely because the remote has to be directed straight at the IR switch to transmit the signals, even at close range. Not a big issue if IR switch in clear view.

I am very impressed with these lights which work very well could not be bettered. I have found no problems with the remote it works and as someone has already said you have to point it at the plug point where it is plugged in to change colour! This unit sticks really well to the inside lid of my tank which I was very pleased about as I prefer the light there as then you don't see the spotlights when you are looking into the tank.

Works great, it has many colors as it shows on the remote control, is water proof , I prefer not to put mine underwater so I don't use swimming space instead I attached it to the glass on top of the aquarium tap, The light I needed was the red, which is great for plant growth. I am buying a bigger one to put at front of the top of aquarium as well.
