Top Introduction to the subject matter.
Author covers the breath of the subject material, a few mistakes here and there. The format and layout of the book is good, as is the glossary. The use of language gives strength specific and broad explanations.

Does what it says , teaches you about the CNS in humans.
Teaches about the structure and function of the elements that make up the human nervous system. Not really for complete dummies: it will help if you know a bit about organic molecules.

Fantastic book. Very informative but with a sense of humour. It's helping refresh my memory on a lot of stuff I learned. The layout is also great, it covers a huge deal of information but it doesn't feel like "study" per se.

The for dummies series is very underrated, especially for complex topics. I find this book to be a very useful reference but it's also pretty enjoyable to just read right through the chapters
