SchwalbeSV13 Presta Extra Long Valve Inner Tube

I'm using this tube with a electric hub motor wheel,weighing 12 kg ! very heavy ! for some reason the last tube I used , kept losing a third of it's air pressure every 4 or so days, and I'd have to pump it back up... After that tube punctured I replaced it with the same tube again, and this one has stayed fully inflated so far despite being under pressure from the heavy motor wheel. Very impressive performance by shwalbe.

I bought a pair of these along with 2 Scwalbe City Jet 1.5 Tyres to convert my MTB into a road bike for a non-trail ride.I've not had them fitted long so I can't comment about their resistance to punctures but considering the price they are of a better quality than some of the tubes I've purchased from high street stores. I particularly like the valve design with a screw that secures the valve to the rim that I've not come across before in tubes of a similar price.One big surprise is that the valve caps are made of clear plastic rather than the usual black. This is fine if you're in a workshop where you can put the cap down on a table but if you're doing a mid race change on a trail the chances of losing a clear cap seem to be greater. This one design element was going to knock the review from 5 to 4 stars but seeing as I'm so pleased with the change from MTB to road tyres I've raised it back to 5 again!

Great value for money, easy to fit, as long as you have a little bit of savvy

I changed my two 26X1.95 knobbly tyres for two Schwalbe City Jet 26X1.5 and bought these inner tubes to fit inside. Having agonised over whether I should have bought the smaller tubes (max of 1.5), these fit fine. They are very good quality high pressure inner tubes and hold pressure very well thus far. Not sure about the wisdom of a clear valve cap and I have to say that IMHO, the pictorial instructions are worse than useless. Apply a bit of common sense and you'll be fine.

It's an inner tube, does its job perfectly.But it's not exciting.

There isn't really much to say about these really, they're well made, not some weird cheap material my old Rayleigh ones were made of, they have nice long valves which make them easier for use with those mini pumps that clamp on, and another thing they have which I haven't seen before is a kind of nut type thing, which stops the valve from going back in. Sorry I couldn't be more descriptive about that.I got them when they were cheaper though, I think it was around £3.50, so I'm not sure how they compete with the products in it's current price range. Don't think there would be much difference but you never know.
