Replacement Glass Jug & Plastic Lid for Morphy Richards 47001 47002 47004 47006 47008 47010 Coffee Makers

Scunnered that I moved my Morphy Richards Mr Cappuccino Coffee Maker (47010) through four house moves then dropped and smashed the coffee jug on my latest kitchen floor. ARRRGH!!! Of *course* Morphy Richards *don't* make this model any more nor do they stock spares. Took a chance on this jug as it is listed as the Espresso Jug and I needed the larger one. However it *is* the larger one and it fits perfectly. I'm delighted that my coffee machine is complete again. My only complaint, more of an observation, is that the item was a bit worn, possibly secondhand rather than new, or a returned item, but then, it's no more worn than my original (seven year old) jug was and it's considerably cheaper, and more environmentally friendly, than buying a whole new machine. Very happy. :-)

I broke the large pot in my Mister Cappuccino coffee maker by Morphy Richards and despaired of finding a replacement as it is obsolete and nothing like it in high street shops but then I read the comments left by others and took a chance and YIPEE I got a replacement that arrived quickly (although post office wouldn't deliver as packaging was damaged) and it was not broken....Success!I'm thrilled, now debating if I should buy a spare incase I drop it a second time!

This is a cheap 'knock off' so don't expect perfection. The handle was secured with blob of hot glue and came off almost immediately. I stripped the handle etc. from the broken jug and fitted on this one as the parts were much better. Coffee maker now up and running again.

Fits fine and good for the money. A but fragile but then so was the original so can't complain.

For starters it isn't the jug shown in the picture ie not the same as the one I was replacing.There are no measurements on the jug like the original or the picture shown.The handle is cheap and is coming apart. It was just flimsy and none of the joins met up.Due to the bad alignment of the lid and due to the handle not meeting at the joins, it does not capture the coffee as it is pouring from the a machine. You lose about a quarter of the coffee from each brew which ends up on your worktop.Really poorly built band totally useless

This is a very poor quality item. The fluid measurements are incorrect (when compared to the genuine Morphy Richards item), are only printed on one side and are not even straight or in the centre.The handle is tacky plastic and wobbles a lot as it's only held onto the jug by the metal band around the top. I can't see this lasting very long.Note: This is the filter coffee jug, not the espresso jug as mentioned in the item title.On the plus side, it is the correct size and does fit and so works correctly. If only until it falls apart. Don't expect this to look as nice as the original.

As advertised this is not an original branded product. It does however seem stronger than the original. The lid lifts up rather than off as with the original. For some reason it also seems to pour better with less dripping.

I was delighted to be able to find a replacement jug for my slightly old fashioned but fully functional coffee maker and I was particularly pleased because with this updated model the lid is attached to the handle - the original jug had a separate lid - great price too!
