SHAG: The Collected Works

A nice introductory SHAG book. The selection here from throughout Shag's career is nice, and includes some very recent stuff like the Star Wars Cantina piece (2016). The index at the back features thumbnails, year, and titles of paintings, as well as page numbers. However, not every piece has a page number, and sometimes it skips 20 pages with no numbers, but then the next two pages have numbering. A little odd, but no big deal.I did want to point out that some of the print quality, about 15 pages worth, is pretty poor. Most paintings are scanned/photographed excellently, and look flawless. However, on some, the quality is terrible and comparable to what you might get if you tried to print a Shag piece from your home desktop printer: grainy, blurry, and inconsistent color. I own several Shag books and this hasn't been a problem before, so I'd say it's the print job/scan job and not the art itself. The other 90% of the material looks perfect, though.All in all, a solid book with great art that would benefit from a few minor improvements; the fact that the price is lower than other SHAG art books certainly helps. Would recommend.

Love SHAG. One of my favorite artists. Love seeing all of his art and behind the scenes and such. CON - a small portion of the photos aren't fully crisp or scanned weakly or something. But all in all I'm really glad i bought the book

We should get our money back on this $28 dollar NEW book. The binding is separated. Terrible!!! I am going to see if there is a way to contact Amazon about this "broken" purchase. Disappointed as it was a gift. And for $28, I shouldn't have to figure out if it can be taped or glued and hold up to standard.

I love SHAG, his style, art work and collection. This makes a great gift for anyone whom loves his style and creativity.

i love the works of the artist Shag. Since I could never afford a print, this is the next best thing. It doesn't have all his works but it has a bunch of them. It's a large, landscape-oriented book. Heavy so it's not light looking. But wonderful pictures.

The pics are great and the quality of the book is well done. I would like to see alot more of his work. This is just a small representation & not nearly as varied as it could be. It does not really capture the essence of his mid century modern works.

Stunnning artwork..... sadly I cut mine up to frame tons of art, cause I cant afford shags costly prints. One of the best purchases I have made.

This was a Christmas gift and the recipient loves the contents of the book. Physically the book is slightly used. The inner bidding has started to tear from the cover and first page. There are a few pages that are soiled. The gift was still loved but beware the condition may not be new like advertised.
