Versatile selection of colours
This are probably the best inks you can use for dip pens and brush work. Just use a nice watercolour paper. The selection of colours is great

Superb set of vibrant drawing inks
This is a great way to enter the world of artists inks. If you've never dabbled before, then be assured that the colours offered here, and the quality of the ink will not disappoint.Firstly, the outer packaging itself, though relatively flimsy, is enough to keep everything together in transit. But the bottles themselves are great - slightly wider at the bottom, and squat enough to reduce the risk of tipping them over in use.The inks themselves are incredible. The vibrancy and consistency of the colours is mind blowing. It really will take your art to another level. They can be used with a dip pen and/or applied with water as a wash.Using the 'wash' technique opens up a whole world of possibilites. They react well to different ratios of water offering a very subtle colouration, all the way to the supremely vivid. the colours also layer very well, allowing you to build up value or blend shades. From loose, washy sketches to fine line pen and ink drawings, these won't let you down. And, finally, for those worried about the 'value for money' given what seems like a small amount of ink per bottle - don't worry about that. You'll use very small amounts of ink to achieve the desired effect. I can imagine these lasting for a very long time to come.

Winsor & Newton Drawing Ink Henry & William Collection
I am very new to using colour inks, however, I do have knowledge of watercolours. I would highly recommend experimenting with mixing colours either on paper, wet-in-wet or as a glaze over a dry layer. You will achieve beautiful colours variations this way. The ink has a nice sheen when dry due the presence of shellac. Paper absorbance will make a significant difference to the results achieved, non-absorbent paper works better in my view and will last a lot longer. Also found that syntetic brush does not really work well with these inks, including black india ink, recommend sable or fox or some other natural tipped brush. Overall, it is a good set the get started in using inks, I also recommend the other set too and a bottle of the white. Have fun! :)

Vibrant
I love these inks. Picture is just me playing with them, taking my time to work with them and get to know them. Amazing colours and really cute, dinky bottles. Recommended.

Great thought out set.
Been using them for a while now and think they very versatile, used the lots of way other then just as for ink drawing. they mix nicely and it's a fine range of colours. On just how they look..... nice little pots (great art-work) sit well on the art table, not as if that's important but-their-you-go.Have marked them down to four stars because of only the black being light-fast, shame that but a great little set none-the-less and very good value.

Trustworthy brand
Inks have a nice tone and can be diluted and mixed, I haven't used them as much as I planned so they've lasted years

Excellent quality and good value on Amazon.
This is my second purchase of this ink, with this having a different colour range in it.These are excellent value and far cheaper than buying from our local art shop. My daughter needs these for university as the recommended ink brand.Excellent ink that I can definitely recommend.
