Dragon's Breath truly shines.
ValetPRO Dragon's Breath Wheel Cleaner: A Powerful Solution for Brake Dust and GrimeIf you're a car enthusiast or someone who simply takes pride in their vehicle's appearance, you know that clean wheels can make or break the overall look. Enter ValetPRO Dragon's Breath Wheel Cleaner—a product that promises to tackle even the toughest brake dust and grime that can accumulate on your wheels. After testing this wheel cleaner extensively, I have to say, it lives up to the hype.Product OverviewValetPRO Dragon's Breath is formulated specifically to combat the stubborn dirt often found on alloy wheels. It is an iron remover, which means it targets and breaks down ferrous contaminants that can lead to unsightly blemishes and damage over time. The bright red color of the product, which darkens as it reacts with the iron particles, is also a visually satisfying indicator of its effectiveness.Application and Ease of UseOne of the standout features of Dragon's Breath is its user-friendly application. The product comes in a convenient spray bottle, allowing for easy distribution. Simply spray the cleaner onto the wheel surface, let it sit for a few minutes, and watch as it starts to change color—a clear sign that it's working. For best results, it's recommended to use a wheel brush or sponge to agitate the surface before rinsing, and I found this combination to work wonders. With a dwell time of approximately 5-10 minutes, it allows for enough time to penetrate the grime while not being overly long. When rinsed off, the results are impressive; the wheels look refreshed and shiny, with minimal effort.EffectivenessIn terms of performance, Dragon's Breath truly shines. It effectively dissolves brake dust and road grime, leaving behind clean and sparkling wheels. After using it, I noticed that even the toughest spots of embedded dirt were removed with minimal scrubbing. For those who drive frequently in urban environments or on hilly terrains, this cleaner is a game changer.Safety and pH BalanceAnother advantage of ValetPRO Dragon's Breath is its pH-neutral formula, making it safe for various wheel finishes, including painted, polished, and clear-coated alloys. This is a crucial factor, as some aggressive cleaners can damage delicate wheel surfaces. Always a plus, especially for those who have invested in premium wheels!Smell and ResidueWhile the product is effective, it does have a strong chemical smell, which may be off-putting to some users. Therefore, it’s advisable to use it in a well-ventilated area and wear gloves for added protection. Additionally, there was no significant residue left after rinsing, which is a common issue with some wheel cleaners.Final ThoughtsIn conclusion, ValetPRO Dragon's Breath Wheel Cleaner is an outstanding product that delivers impressive results. Its effectiveness against tough brake dust and its safe formulation for various wheel types make it a must-have in any car cleaning arsenal. While the smell can be a drawback, it is a minor inconvenience compared to the great results it produces. If you are serious about maintaining the appearance of your wheels, ValetPRO Dragon's Breath is definitely worth a try!

Alloy wheel cleaner

Good but some effort required
I have used Valet Pro Bilberry wheel cleaner for a couple of years now and have been delighted with the results. I've been busy recently and my car cleaning has taken a back seat, with the result that baked on brake dust has accumulated behind the spokes of the alloys where they meet the wheel barrel. Bilberry, even at neat strength, didn't seem to touch this, so having read the reviews for Dragons Breath, I decided to go for something stronger and give it a try. People on car cleaning forums suggested that DB should be used for heavily soiled wheels and Bilberry used for general maintenance, which seemed to make sense, so this was going to be my approach from now on.I used DB for the first time today and was slightly disappointed that the dust just didn't melt away in the stubborn areas as I'd expected. As others have suggested, it does seem to require some elbow grease and, after three applications leaving the product to dwell for 5 minutes as per the instructions, the stuff is starting to shift. I would mention that the wheels were not removed and this approach could aid the process.Suggested method of using:The virtually clear liquid is quite thick and it's impossible to obtain a fine mist, which my new spray bottle produced with water alone. There is mixed opinion about diluting DB, so I decided to use it neat and squirted a small amount on both the outside and inside of the wheel, which was then spread around using the large Natural Hog Hair Detailing Brush and medium Wheel Woolie, both excellent products also bought from Amazon.Likes:1) You can see the contaminated areas turning red, showing the product is working.2) DB did a first class job on light contamination, but so does Bilberry3) The product does not run away and stays on the alloy to do the job.Dislikes:1) The odour is less than pleasant, a mixture of rotten eggs and ammonia!2) Not the miracle cure I was expecting, but think it will work with more applications and some effort. Four stars awarded for this reason.I'm not sure how you would use DB on paintwork because of the viscosity. I can only assume it would have to be diluted and then spread with a brush.Update 30/12/2017 and a word of warning:-When using this on the last occasion, I rinsed the wheel thoroughly with a hose ensuring all areas including discs etc were well washed, or so I thought. The car wasn't moved until later in the week and I found the the brakes juddered like crazy. It must have left some sort of deposit on the discs, or stuck to the pads, I'm not sure what happened, but my advice would be to take the car for a run after using the product to ensure that any residue is cleaned away. The product is slimy in texture and can reduce braking efficiency, so drive cautiously for the first couple of miles, or until the brakes are working properly.

Four-Star Review for Dragon's BreathDragon's Breath is fantastic for cleaning alloy wheels! It works like a charm and leaves them looking brand new. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is the smell—let's just say it could clear a parking lot faster than a dragon breathing fire! If you can handle the odor, you’ll be rewarded with spotless wheels.

Good stuff
I was dubious about this product as I'd been trying to scrub the brake dust off my wheels and getting nowhere so how can just spraying liquid on them do it? But honestly it just runs off! It goes on white/clear and when it finds brake dust it turns purple, it's pretty thick so it stays in place and does the job. Definitely need a pressure washer to clear it all off afterwards. Leave it to sit but don't let it dry or it leaves streaks. I'd recommend gloves as it does smell
