Great quality with economy.
An excellent writing pencil, with lovely British Racing Green paint (well, almost). Strong, smooth lead. The lead is slightly firmer than that of the Mitsubishi 9850, but the results look much the same. The effect is that the lead lasts longer between sharpenings, but it exerts a bit more "drag" on the paper. This latter effect can be desirable as some people find that the slight resistance disciplines their handwriting. Very good pencil wood smell if you want to go that far into the details. European style, not American (i.e. no rubber on the top).

Very strong lead
I’m a joiner, go through a lot of pencils, I keep these for my bench work. The lead is very strong. No matter how many times I’ve dropped them, the lead remains intact. Pretty good, as far as they go

These are awesome, and it's says Mitsu-Bishi on the pencil
The pencils arrived after four weeks of waiting just before the Christmas. If you need pencils for tomorrow's exam don't order pencils from Japan. If you, however, are thinking about buying these for a present, DO IT. These are awesome, and it's says Mitsu-Bishi on the pencil. The pencils are pretty and the box can stand watching, that's why I give this product five stars out of five.

Solid writing pencils
These are solid HB pencils for writing considering that they are high quality Japanese made ones. Wouldn’t exactly recommend these for drawing/sketching simply because the lead doesn’t transfer onto paper the same way as a proper drawing pencil would - these are designed to be writing pencils

Great pencil at an excellent price
Great pencil at an excellent price. They have a smooth lead and are a pleasure to use. Well worth the wait for them to get here from Japan

Good value, excellent quality
I love wooden case pencils from Palomino Blackwings and down! These are wonderful, I really like the finish. They are very smooth for an HB and sharpen really well. at less than 40p each these are a real bargain.

Really awesome for students and artists!!
These premium pencils were EXACTLY what I was looking for when upgrading from the cheap yellow ones that don't sharpen well and tend to break. Easily my favorites! I've been buying these pencils year after year for both my note-taking during class and traditional drawing (where consistency is important for value gradation), so I thought to finally leave a review after so long, haha. They glide well, sharpen well (no weird wood splintering, lead is always centered), and are very satisfying to use! Not to mention affordable for the quality: think about all the sharpening hassle and wrist pain you'll avoid... I always keep a couple of my trusty Dark Green Pencils in my backpack alongside my sharpener and eraser. They don't come with erasers, but I actually prefer it that way! You ever use a pencil whose eraser was completely used up or, worse, has a bad one that smears the graphite? Awful. I don't like using those eraser caps either, so these make sure I always have my high quality eraser on hand. (I use the Hi-Polymer Pentel blocks; they erase very cleanly!)

Favorite pencil
These are fantastic. They keep a point, the graphite is dark.

Nice
Kaufempfehlung

Mitsubishi Pencil Co., Ltd 9800 – 12 Crayons graphite 9800 H.B. (Japon importation)
