So far very excellent for my little girl
I purchased this for my young female syrian after she showed signs of extreme unhappiness in the 50 gallon bin cage she was living in as she grew up and became larger. So far this has shown to be an EXCELLENT upgrade for her and quality product in the 4 days she has been in it. The assembly is really quite simple. During assembly I was worried about the sturdiness of the product but it does all come together nicely and is definitely a quality product. The front acrylic piece does wiggle a little but it truly isn't an issue, and in my experience so far the more bedding the firmer it stays in place which works great for me. The lock is comes with to keep the lid down is definitely bad and I am unsure why it only comes with one lock for one side. I purchased a 2 pack of baby locks on here for 5 bucks, which is a MUCH better solution. So far hammy has shown no interest in the top of the enclosure other than a few sniffs, but I'd say baby locks are definitely the best way to be sure no escape attemps will occur. Several reviews here say there were no holes drilled into the wood. What I experienced was there were, but they were very shallow. It was enough where I could get the screw into the hole but I had to put a lot of elbow grease into getting some of them properly screwed in. Overall though it wasn't too much of a pain. Everything was in good condition. The cage LOOKS absolutely gorgeous and has ample room for all her enrichment. I love how it looks and I love how quality it feels. It's lightweight so I reccomend this over a 75 gallon tank. For the price point and aesthetic look this is an absolute steal compared to niteangel enclosures (I love their products but this is the same quality at a great price for what you are getting). It is pricey but out of all the options out there, it comes out to one of the more affordable properly sized enclosures for a syrian. I am not seeing much opportunity for her to chew through this other than the wood encasing the plexiglass windows on the side. She has shown no interest in it thus far, but I can definitely see it being an issue if you did not provide enough enrichment for some reason. I will update if this ends up being an issue for us when she goes into heat next, but as she's never been a huge chewer, I feel it won't be a problem, and that's my only real criticism of this enclosure. The space on the top with the vents provides some space to place a little decor as I did, but I definitely would keep it minimal as to not block off air flow and ventilation. Since putting my hamster in this cage she has displayed zero signs of stress and is clearly much happier which makes me happy and this purchase 100% worth it, and I'm looking foward to it continuing to work for us long term. Overall as of now I'm very satisfied and reccomend the product :) EDIT: I had to move across country with my hamster which took 5 days and I had to take this cage apart since it was too big for the car, it was banging around under all my stuff for days and went back together with no issues and no damage when I arrived. For a piece of Amazon furniture I absolutely didn't expect it to. Just reinforces this cage deserves 1000/5 stars lol.

Great Purchase!
For the price this is a great cage for a hamster. We upgraded from a starter set we picked up at a pet store. This cage is well made and a lot roomier than what we had. The set up was pretty easy and fast. More importantly our hamster is loving the extra room. Definitely worth the buy!

Hamsters Dreamland
This enclosure is nice and spacious, measuring 48 L x 20 W x 20 H, which is the perfect size for my two hamsters. There's ample room for them to dig and run around freely. However, It arrived with all the necessary components to put it together, except for the screws and the additional items visible in the cage. I had to purchase what you see. Additionally, it came with Plexiglass so don’t expect actual glass but putting it together was not difficult really easy 5 minutes the most to put it together. All in all to sum this up, I would give this 4/5 stars due to the screws not included and the pricing could have been little cheaper like at least $150.00 instead of $208.00 due to the material. If they can fix the pricing / add screws then I would rate this 5/5. But this is definitely not a shame comes mostly as it describes. I would still purchase this, but I highly recommend opting for the largest size, as it will provide your hamsters with the ample room and space they require. Little more expensive side but worth it for your hamster.

Fantastic. Well made, easy to put together.
Great enclosure for many types of small animals. It is extremely well made, absolutely HUGE, and easy to put together following the instructions and common sense. Everything I needed was provided. The bottom and top are made of a waterproof, light colored laminated wood material. The front and sides are a thin clear sheet of plexiglass. (Or similar material). They come covered in a scratch proof peel away sheet that needs to be removed on both sides juat before applying- watch the static go nuts! . It WAS difficult to put in the screws on the hinged lid, but the starter holes were properly placed and I finished the assembly using a friend to hold the pieces while I put in the screws. There is an additional thin flexible clear plastic piece that runs the length of the bottom covering the wood, so any water or urine won't ruin the enclosure. I worried my (male) Syrian hamster would chew the 4 thin woodstrips on the inside edges that were used to frame the bottom and sides, but it hasnt been an issue. It would be easy to replace that trim if damage did occur there. Look at the dimensions, they do come in several sizes- and the largest cage is extremely long- which is great. My Syrian hamster has lived in this for several months, and he doesnt run on his wheel because he has so much room. Ive seen people complain that the front plexiglass is flimsy, however, as long as weight isnt applied, it's plenty sturdy. I think that helps actually bc when something/someone bumps into it it flexes instead of cracking like a harder thin plastic might do. It did NOT come with child locks as shown in some pictures, but those can be found in many stores in the baby section. Cleaning is easy through the large top opening, snd the ventilation hasn't been an issue. We do have the top open for awhile every day when at feeding, sand bath cleaning, and hamster playtime. Its a well made and good looking enclosure, made of sturdy light colored laminated wood & plexiglass, and makes for an EXTREMELY happy Syrian Hamster.

Best Hamster Cage I've Ever Purchased.
You name it, I've had it. Niteangel, Preview, Ferplast, Detolf, MeWooFun, etc. I've used them, adapted them, loved them, hated them... But this one might be the best. It's not perfect, but it is soooo close and easily one one of the top commercially available cages on the market. First, it's very lightweight. If you're looking for solid wood, you won't find it here, and you don't need to. The bottom and sides are a very lightweight engineered wood product covered in a waterproof laminate. One of my few complaints is that this laminate is quite thin, but it thanks to being well-packaged, it arrived with no cracks and wasn't damaged in the course of assembly. Assembly, by the way, took five minutes. Well, it would have if I had not added wheels, which are not included and there are no predrilled holes for them, but they were very easy to install nonetheless. I didn't even have to drill holes. I just tapped each screw with a hammer so it pierced the laminate, and then they went in easily with a screw driver. I would not use a power driver if you decided to add wheels. The rest of the assembly is just six bolts on the bottom to hold on the side panels. The front and pack panels just slide in to grooves, and then the whole thing is secured with the ventilated too, which is held in place by four bolts. Some may argue that the ventilation could be better, but it is adequate. The acrylic for the front panel and lid is a nice, sturdy, 1/4" thick, and a good weight to keep escape artists at bay. There is a version of this cage with a framed lid, which might make some people more comfortable, but I prefer the uninterrupted visibility of this enclosure. If you worry that your ham could escape, you could tape or otherwise secure the corners, or make sure the bedding isn't too high in the front. So far I haven't felt concerned. The front panel does bow out slightly with pressure from bedding inside, but it doesn't go past the edge of the lid, and I really packed it in tight when I was filling it. The only real potential issue I have with it is that the side panels are held in with several strips of the laminated board, and I would prefer it to be seamless. This may be an issue for a really avid chewer, but aside from female Syrians, that shouldn't be a problem as long as you have enough enrichment. By the way, I wouldn't put a female Syrian in anything other than the large, and I wouldn't put anything in the small. The medium is totally fine for all other hamsters. Overall, while no cage is perfect (except some DiYs), this one is, in my opinion, the closest to hitting the mark, which is why I'm giving it five stars. That, and because it's absolutely gorgeous. The previous reviewer gave it one star because it's "just a box" and doesn't come with accessories. I don't really understand why he thought they'd be included, but even being just a box... what a box it is! If you're looking for the best intersection of style, function, simplicity and price, this is it.

4th time's a charm...
5 Stars, finally. This is the 4th hamster cage I purchased recently. My daughter got a Syrian hamster for Christmas and we put it in my old 10-gallon aquarium. I wanted to update to a bigger cage so I bought an all-acrylic one. It was cracked when it came out of the package and I didn't trust it with cats so I returned it. I purchased the Ferplast and the larger Prevue cage (both highly reviewed) which were due to arrive on the same day. I figured I'd choose between them. Unfortunately, our hamster passed away unexpectedly before we had a chance to open the boxes. A few weeks later, my daughter fell in love with a dwarf hamster at the pet store so we set up the Ferplast cage. I loved the size but not the cage. Within 72 hours, the new hamster got his paw stuck underneath the plastic cap on the side and the base was cracked. A pretty large piece of acrylic had broken and went missing. I returned the prevue because it was very large and I didn't trust that the wires were close enough together all the way around the cage. I finally bought the Prolee; it had been sitting in my cart for awhile and I wish I had just bought it first. It has a great look and feels very sturdy. The front sheet of plexiglass is very thick (I expected it to be thin and flimsy). It even comes with a plastic sheet for extra protection for the bottom of the cage. I had expected to make something myself so I was pleasantly surprised. I am not worried about my cats jumping on top (I'm not encouraging it but I have to be prepared for it). I trust the lock enough to use it, I may end up replacing it. My only complaint is that I wish the top of the cage was flat so I could weigh down the lid. Otherwise, it's beautiful, spacious, and sturdy. Yes, it's expensive but it was worth it. I'm really looking forward to setting it up with all of the new accessories I bought when they arrive. I had a lot of trouble getting the screws to go into the wood so I lightly tapped them in with a hammer until they were "stuck." I then pulled them out and screwed them in with no problems. Set-up was super easy after that.
