PetMate - Pet Hair Magnet - Yellow

This is a great idea and the body & handle is solid and sturdy however it just didn't work well on our carpets to remove cat hair. It seemed to work a bit better on some blankets and chairs however as other reviews have mentioned, you do need to put in quite a few hard strokes over and over to get results. The grey rubber 'squeegee' bit has also worn down really fast so for me not a quality buy unfortunately at the current price.

I would suggest getting a magic clothes lint brush rather than this. I found it difficult to use on non-flat surfaces like the duvet. Had to stretch out the cover and pull and even then it just collected the fur in a pile and Id have to pick it up in a bundle. Whereas a magic lint brush I would swipe back and forth, pick it all up and then scrub it off the brush into the bin.

This is a brilliant product. It's the third one I've bought because it does wear out. When you think about it there is always going to be wear even on the hard rubber/compound and that's just a fact of life - though other reviewers seem to think it should last forever.The PetMate really does the job. I have a very expensive Kirby cleaner and even after running that over my carpets when I use the PerMate I always get a lot more hairs up. It's brilliant on stairs and on my car carpets but I can't comment on upholstery as my setees and car seats are leather.I've bought this product three times and when this one wears out I'll buy another.

It’s amazing how much hair you can still collect with it- with two cats and 2 you can imagine you can not avoid hair in the house. This hair removal helps me to make sure that I clean the carpet throughly - can be tiring but worth the pain

Does the job as described, we use it to de-hair the kitchen chair cushions in the morning after our cat has slept there, although I think the need to drag the rubber across, with that level of friction, will probably wear out the cushion fabric prematurely. Anyway the hoover (Dyson) leaves too many of the hairs behind so we do rely on the pet hair magnet. Does a great job of clearing the hair - I usually collect it all up at one edge of the cushion then hoover it off or brush into a dustpan.

I bought this for removing Cat hair from my bedsheets which unfortunately it’s not the right tool for. It is however good on firm surfaces like my sofa and stairs.
