Q: What are the internal dimensions for the single? I'd like it to hold a cat litter box with hood and filter. Thanks.

Hi. This is v small which is disappointing, as otherwise it's a great idea and looks nice. The internal dimensions are about 45cm high, 43cm wide and 48 cm from front door to back (but only about 46 cm in order to close the door). We had an open cat litter box in it but our cat just made a total mess! We finally found a very small hooded one on Amazon which fits and she uses but the size of it is better suited to a kitten! Also to note if you do get it that the assembly Instruction are as bit wrong ( in the one we got anyway). Hope this helps.

Use a normal litter box with a lid but take the flap off, it hides your plastic box beautifully and makes it look like furniture. I use a large litter box for my cat. Your cat can’t use this as a litter tray it’s made of wood and will leak and smell. Hope this helps.

Q: Does it stop oders from litter tray?

Because I’m moving I haven’t unpacked it/built it yet. I bought it to offer one of my elderly cats another private litter tray. Sadly she died before using it. My views: Having used open and closed litter trays for many years for several cats, although you can camaflague the odour with a top up of litter /good deodorising cat powder (Petkin), a pet friendly spray, and airing the rooms etc., there is still no replacement for regular good hygiene for our indoor cats. Your nose tells you! Our cats also need a depth to bury their waste effectively as in the wild. Cats are naturally clean animals. The main benefit to using a covered litter tray is it retains most of the litter (with the help of a special mat to get rid of excess deposits on paws). This model doesn’t look like a cat toilet and is quite attractive, but I still wouldn’t want it too near to our eating/sleeping/living areas.
