Highly recommended if you want to transform the use of your surface pro.
I thought the kickstand and thin keyboard for the surface pro a good idea when I first purchased. But they are both a real pain after a while as the unit cannot function properly as a laptop is intended. So the Brydge was a brilliant purchase. It really is a quality well built keyboard. It has transformed my use of the surface pro and after a couple of weeks use I have nothing but praise for the product.Only real con is the price - in the US they are doing these for $99 and its a shame they have to be £149.99 ($210) over here. Seems a bit cheeky but still worth the money.

Its ok, but really REALLY heavy and cumbersome
The keyboard is ok, the trackpad is terrible, the whole thing is just so heavy it really will weigh your bag down, also Brydge customer service is really really poor!

Great keyboard but US layout
I bought this for a Surface Pro 3 and it worked straight from the box. It has solved the problem of a broken kickstand, and is nicer to work on than the Surface keyboard. Had no problems with the touchpad or sharp edges that I have seen in other reviews. Good build quality and the charge lasts a very long time. Nicely backlit key board and easy to take off and put on. But …The biggest problem is that it is a US layout keyboard and that confuses my computer. You simply have to learn where certain basic symbols are - they haven't moved but they aren't shown on the keys, eg :;'-@(). Some symbols I simply can't find such as a back slash, so you have to work around this by copying and pasting. I'm sure it's there somewhere though.Only other think that might put you off is its weight - its very heavy. It works for me, but it will annoy others.

Good keyboard and trackpad but the hinges could damage your screen.
First the Amazon part. I paid £99 for a NEW item - what I received was not. The interior box containing the charging cable had been ripped open and the keyboard itself was covered with greasy fingerprints and biscuit crumbs. NOT the first time that I've bought a 'new' item from Amazon and it's turned out to be used. The Brydge keyboard itself - fantastic idea and the keys and trackpad work well. The clamps/hinges however are atrocious. VERY poorly executed design as these clamp so hard against the Surface bezels that you get light bleed and LCD swirls at the corners where clamped. I emailed Brydge and their response was that I should try prising the clamps apart to enable a smooth fit - I have done this however they lose around 90% of their area grip and leave the clamps in an awkward horizontal 'V' shape when closed and not flush with the Surface Pro. When closing the now 2-in-1 unit, the force is put on the Surface - this cannot be good and I have heard about damaged screens. Also worth noting is that the interior user leaflet lists Surface Pro 3 and 4 - however Brydge assured me that it was outdated and that it should say that it is compatible up to Surface Pro 7.If Brydge could use a clamshell instead of these woeful hinges, I would have awarded 100 stars however it really is an extremely poor design and you risk damaging your Surface.

Good, but not great
This device does make the Surface Pro feel more like a laptop. But, it’s heavy and the TrackPad isn’t that good which let’s the device down. I also have some concerns over the build quality based on its cost. However, it has made using the Surface with a keyboard much easier where’s there limited or no desk space.
