Ill buy it again and again with small kids outdoors!
The media could not be loaded. Absolute must have with small kids. We got it originally for the beach vacay we were taking. We now use it all over our yard when we are outside. Has 3 levels of "fan", high/med/low, you can conserve your battery usage with that i feel like.It oscillates as well, so everyone can get a bit of the air. The speed is really nice even on 'low' setting, I usually just leave it on 'low' and its always been fine.Noise level, well, its loud even on the 'low' speed. Not bad, but def a 'fan' noise. My kids like it because we use white noise anyways for nap lolBuild quality - very nicely made. Lightweight but you can def throw this thing around and it not get hurt.10/10 highly recommend, def worth it.

It absolutely works!
I have had this accessory tool for almost 3 years and have used it intermittently. Sometimes I use it several days straight 8-10 hrs each day. Then, it will sit for a month or so. Sometimes I’ll use it for a few hours. I use it many conditions: hot dusty renovations, in a humid house doing renovations, or outside (limited). It has never failed to work flawlessly. It provides a surprising amount of airflow for its size. I get very decent airflow even when it is sitting 10-12 feet away!A 5ah battery will let it run all day. Probably the nicest feature is it will run on a battery or the included electric power hookup! It is well worth the investment. Period.

Truly useful
Buying a Makita fan made all the sense in the world. Even with a 5.0 battery, this is very light and it is easy place it anywhere we need it, whether it is in the garage while I am working, in the house for a little extra air movement, or in the travel trailer while camping in the summer. The timer function worked great while camping so we could have it run for a few hours after bedtime and shut off once the trailer was cooled down enough for sleep.I like the option of having an AC adapter for use in the house, but the ultimate convenience of a cordless, oscillating fan is awesome! The fan seems durable and well-built.

Great fan and battery life
We love this fan, thinking of purchasing another one. the setting between low, medium and high are very powerful. We use it a lot everywhere we go, and the battery works all day. Our friends want one.

Just bought another one!!!
OMG this is so cool, great, wonderful thing you haven't even dreamed of.Everyone who has 18V Makita battery should get this. This is very easy to carry around also. Not too light, but light enough even for kids. Powerful. Swivel. Timer. Great looking. This can be corded and cordless. OMG.

Helmet drier and life support device
I am a motorcycle roadracer in Texas. Life preservation at the racetrack has little to do with the motorcycles themselves. Especially not in a 4 hr endurance race. You first have to survive the heat!!1. There isn’t always powerat the track. Sometimesyes sometimes no. This unit is battery powered or can use the included ac adapter.2. I have a makita 18v tire inflator i use at the track. This uses the same batteries it does. Convenient.3. I have other makita shop tools that use the same batteries. (Just to emphasize strategic benefit).4. Fan rotates verticle so i can use it to dry helmets.5. Small enough to sit on my lap while i recover from riding in 100+ degree weather in the pits. The fan is small but this gets the air where it needs to be while I recover, chugging electrolytes waiting to go backout.6. Nice carry handle molded into the top of the fan. Easy transport.Complaints:1. The plastic base of the fan is large enough to give a large stable footprint. Would have been ideal if they used that space for a compartment to keep the ac adapter in so you don’t lose it or forget to take it with you.2. The product listing makes a claim how long this will run on the lowest setting. But they don’t say what size batterry gives this. Would be helpful if they state that with different batteries for reference. I have different tools and batteries. This fan comes without a battery. Would help estimate how long it works with the batteries i already have in my cordless drill for example.3. Sure would be great if the included AC adapter could be used to recharge the battery. Even if it was slower than my cordless drill charger. It could have having to transport extra tools. Wouldn’t that be nice!

Big fan of this fan!
Love this fan. My husband has a variety of Makita tools but this is one of the best things they have. It is powerful and very portable. Not incredibly loud but you definitely have to talk above it when on the high setting. We use this all over the house and outdoors.
