Strong Metal Clothesline Rope Tightener for Pulleys and Fixed Clothes Lines, Laundry Washing line

I've never used one before so took me a minute to work out which way it went, also took me a moment to work out how to stop the washing line slipping back through (you have to make sure the middle part is put back before letting go) otherwise it has so far worked very well, had it up for a few weeks now. I'm making the most of the sunny weather this week.

Excellent device for hooking up a washing line-thread plastic wire through the ball bearings-then for extra tight insurance do a knot. No slippage-Will last for years!

Strong clips for washing lines. Sturdy and well made

Performs well, even on plastic coated wire (slips a little under very high pressure but perfectly adequate for a washing line).Unfortunately, I decided to reposition my line and managed to destroy the little release handle... sheared off at the join. I have improvised a solution to this but disappointed by the design quality.

An ingenious little device takes all the hard work out of trying to get your line not too tight and not too slack.It does this in seconds without knots of any description, what could be better.This is a no hassle product and is easily adjustable when in use as the line stretches as they tend to .On first appearance it would be mystifying as to what it is, what it does and how it does it - so much so I'm going to buy a few for surprise stocking fillers for Xmas with a link to a how to page in dropbox.It's all rust free aluminium, apart from the steel mounting hoop, the inner balls (chromed I'd think) and the hidden spring, so I'd say it's pretty weather proof.10/10 from every aspect

I would give no stars if possible but this product DOES NOT WORK WITH ROPE WASHING LINES. I paired it up with a 5.5mm rope washing line and the rope just slips through with no hold whatsoever.

Makes a lot of difference to the height of my clothes line and easy to use.
