Can you recharge the keyboard after the 3 years

You don't need to recharge it.every time you connect it to the ipad it s powered from there.Need no recharging at all

Does the keyboard on the screen disappear when connected?

Yes it does but you can put it back by tapping the keyboard tag at the bottom of the screen.

Have there been any tests on how much of the ipad’s battery the cases with a smart connector uses? does it affect the length of the ipad’s use time?

I haven’t noticed any significant changes of the battery when I’m using it or not using it.
