The Gingerbread Man (My First Fairy Tales)

A lovely story to share with my class. The pictures fit the story well and it is the traditional story that has been told for years. Some of the children enjoyed looking through the book after we read it.

I can’t count how many times we’ve read this book since we bought it. Lovely story, just right for 3-4 year olds. Looking forward to getting some more of the series. Also love the three little pigs one!!

My two year old granddaughter engaged with this book immediately. She loved the pictures and the repeating rhyme/song. I was impressed with the quality of the text and illustrations which encouraged lots of language. We loved following the route of the gingerbread man ‘ around, over, through … ‘ and counting and naming who was following him. An excellent book, I highly recommend.

Lovely pictures. Sticks to original story line. Has the repetitive chorus that children love. I knitted a Gingerbread man jumper to go with it as a Xmas present.

A wonderful rendition of the classic story. The delicious illustrations seem to occupy the young cake obsessed minds and the beautiful use of simple language make this a lovely read. This is our second copy due to the first one falling apart completely, it was read so much!
