I've seen a review saying this isn't accurate. I bought a more expensive branded analog version a few years later out of curiosity and the readings are practically the same.There's not much to be said. It gives accurate enough temps. I recommend buying two as fridges differ from the top to bottom temp wise.-1 star for no battery slot. Maybe this is for moisture protection?The only real con is you have to unscrew 4 screws to access the coin (CR2032) battery.

Bought this to check that a new freezer was working correctly (it is!) and to get it nailed to the -18c that's ideal. I'd decided to go digital after trying a manual thermometer from a well-known high street shop, and it was giving me horribly incorrect readings.It's super easy to use, you turn it on, choose whether you want Celsius or Fahrenheit (it remembers which between power cycles), and then can clear the min and max temperatures whenever you like.In fact, the minimum and maximum temperatures have proved perhaps the most useful of the features, helping me realise just how awful the insulation on our fridge is when our kitchen gets hot. I can also picture it being useful for those worried about power cuts over holidays, etc. Stick it in the fridge, wait for it to cool down, then reset the temperature before you go away. Check the maximum when you return.The battery life seems great, having shown no signs of dimming the display after months of constant use. This is probably especially impressive considering that batteries aren't usually fond of cold environments.As an amusing extra, the thermometer coincidentally sat in my bag in a swelteringly hot sports hall during the Great Heat Wave of 2018. It registered a high of 37c.

They are cheap and work exactly as described and the min/max temperate thing lets me ensure that might fridge remained cold the whole time which is what I wanted. They are pretty good.One issue perhaps - I bought two, one for the fridge and one for the freezer but first of all put BOTH in the fridge. I found that they read up to 1degree C apart most of the time so perhaps they are not that accurate. But as a guide to how cold things are they work well enough

It is very important instrument to check the temperature level of the freezer. It is very simple to use it. I think everyone should have it. We can't believe the display temperature in the fridge freezer in our case the display was showing ok but actually the temperature was much higher than the actual. So this apparatus help us a lot to judge the temp and monitor on daily basis.

Freezer thermometer arrived within two days of ordering. Placed inside freezer and seems to be working fine. This is a very useful item as our freezer, like many others has no actual temperature indicator, just a setting dial which goes 2,3,4 and Max. It's as well to know what the actual temperature is inside the freezer as this determines how long certain foods can remain safe.

Wonderful little device. There is not a lot more I can add to what other reviewers have said. Not only does it give an instant view of the temperature of the area in which it sits (much easier than trying to read one of those red alcohol line thermometers - by the time you've twisted it around trying to read the temperature it has gone up a few degrees) but the min & max display tells you what range of temperatures your fridge gets to - not just the one you look at at that particular instant (when it could be "defrosting" or someone before you left the door open too long).Arrived promptly as well - needs 10 stars,

Excessive postage @ £3.99. However it seems to be working ok. We bought it for our caravan fridge as we had suspicions the fridge was not running correctly. This thermometer is nice and compact with an easy to read display, and you can stand or hang it. It seems to tally with another, different style thermometer which we bought as a back up. Still currently observing the readings over time, but as I said.. sea to be doing its job well.

This fridge/freezer thermometer seems to work well; it's easy to read and takes up little room. The 'max-min' readings mean it's easy to get an indication of the fluctuation within the fridge over a metter of hours too.Overall, I'm quite pleased with this purchase.
