I guess it depends on what you want to use it for and how long you'd envisage storing it. I got this water for my iron and the two large containers I had lasted over a year and the last bit I have left at the mo is still clean and useable. My intuition tells me that if unopened, I could store it for a couple of years. Hope this helps you Lillmissnoname.

Yes, use it regularly and extends life of iron considerably. Cuts down blocking of steam vents by minimising carbon build up.

Q: What is the difference between this and distilled water? What process is used to demineralise it?

Distiller water - tap water that is boiled, the steam is collected, cooled and condensed into distilled water. This is free of salts and minerals etc. Demineralised - water passed over ion-exchange resin which removes salts and minerals. Has to be done several times to get desired quality. Trust this helps.
