The condensate pipe drain on my Miele tumble dryer was slightly too short, and it was difficult to know which pipes and connectors to buy. I bought this along with the 10mm version to see which fit - they both do but I went with the 8mm one since the 10mm one seemed too tight and I couldn't push it all the way in. It does the job and connects the pipe to the extension hose I bought (also from Amazon: CERTIFIED Condenser Tumble Dryer Pump Water Tank Drain Outelt Hose Pipe For Beko 1.6M). No leaks and it drains nicely.

I bought these to repair a leak in the diesel lines of my car. In order to make them fit I had to warm the pipe with hot water and a heat gun. The pipe was a very tight fit and sealed perfectly on these fittings. They are a part for a professional finish, as they needed to pass the MOT Test. If I need any more in future I would buy these. One point is to measure the internal diameter of the pipe as there are many different sizes.
