Homtyler Cat Water Fountain, Stainless Steel Pet Water Fountain for Cats Inside, 3 Filters&Ultra-Quiet Pump, 2.2L/73oz Automatic Dog Dispenser Water Bowl, Multiple Pets Water Fountain

We got 2 cats about a year ago, and decided to go with the square version of this water fountain. For the most part it's easy to assemble, I don't remember having too much difficulty putting it together though I vaguely remember being slightly confused about how to put the filters in (the blue one goes on top, and the other round one goes in with the flat side up). It's stainless steel, so it's SUPER easy to clean the base, but the spout can be a bit difficult to clean. The top part of the spout comes off so we do that and can clean it fine, but I'm not 100% sure we're supposed to be able to remove the flat top on the spout. Cat fur gets caught in the blue filter, so I try to pick that out occasionally. fur also gets stuck on the outside of the white intake pump, BUT! I haven't had any issues with it actually getting IN the intake, it's just stuck on the grill so you can wipe it off easy. It does get almost a slime on it, but I'm pretty sure that's a combination of cat crumbs and the crap in our water supply. It's super quiet unless it needs refilled, and even then it's quiet enough I don't always hear to refill it right away. I have it set to a stronger stream, which I recommend for it to properly flow the water better. I like the square shape because it's easy to place in an out-of-the-way corner. I especially like how cheap it is to replace the filter(s) - a 6 pack of the filters runs just under $20, and that's for 6 of each of the 3 filters. Basically, if you're replacing the filters every other month it costs less than $20 a year in upkeep. I have not noticed any decrease in functionality in the year that we've had this fountain. Overall, when the one I purchased eventually dies I will definitely be replacing it with the same one, and I would definitely purchase this as a gift to a friend who needs a new one or is getting new cats! 2026 UPDATE: The motor has finally burnt out. I originally ordered this June of 2023, and so it has lasted about 2.5 years. The water has run out multiple times (the location I have it in is prone to getting hit by the sun so sometimes I don't realize how much evaporation is happening until the cats run to tell me that it's run out) but the motor hasn't died on me until today. If it's in direct sunlight all the time, you will have a surprising amount of evaporation. The cord is a bit short in my opinion, but I suppose you could find an extension cord to use. Overall, I am purchasing this a 2nd time because it's cheap and good!

I have had this cat fountain for so long and it runs 24/7 everyday for my two cats. I like the idea this it is stainless steel and easy to keep clean and helps keep the water cool. The pump stopped one day and I immediately ordered a replacement only to find out that after a have the working parts a good cleaning the old pump work fine to this day. I am prepared with a replacement when needed. This was not a high end item and has been worth dime I paid for it.

Very easy to put together and take apart for cleaning. My two cats figured it out with no issue and have a harder time knocking it over than they do with a bowl of sitting water. It's kinda quiet, but I wouldn't say it's "ultra quiet". If the water gets too low or too high, it begins making a very loud sucking noise (which is to be expected, but definitely spooked my cats, lol)

I bought this thinking it might interest my cat in drinking more water during a recovery period where his kidney numbers weren't what they needed to be. He was actually getting IV fluids during this time. I thought the fresh "running" water would be attractive to him. (This is a cat that will drink from the toilet if allowed. : / ) Apparently I was wrong! Despite keeping fresh filtered water in the unit, and trying different locations around the house for over a week, he pretty much ignored it, and never even tried it once, preferring a regular stainless bowl of the same water just sitting there instead! (After "stirring" it with his paw first of course!) Cats! Go Figure! But I was impressed with the unit itself! It was clean looking and Stainless Steel like his other food / water dishes, which is just my preference for keeping his containers clean. It was easy to assemble, easy to clean, and ran quietly when plugged in. ( I tried it running, AND unplugged! He wasn't interested! ) I was kind of disappointed it didn't interest him. And he's fully recovered now. But Amazon returns made it very easy to package back up and return for a refund! Nothing wrong with the unit, just useless if my cat wouldn't use it! But it's a great design and works as shown, with easy maintenance! Good Product! Good luck!

I never knew that cats dislike drinking from a bowl. After we provided our little Poirot with this fountain, he drinks almost twice as much, which is good for his kidneys and his entire urinary tract. I would suggest having a spare pump on hand, though. I've had this item for just over a year and the pump went out yesterday. Thank goodness for Prime. Our kitty would barely drink until the new one came in.

Easy to clean,but didn’t come with any extra filters. The filter that it has is washable but would have been better if you had one replacement filter,at least to start with .

I loved this fountain for about six months, but now I'm having to replace it. Pros: - Easy to clean - stainless steel! - Cats love it! - Quiet with no annoying light display - Contains enough water for roughly 2 weeks with 3 cats. Cons: - The main con for this might be more of a "Me" problem, but my youngest cat is able to remove the lid on this... He pops the lid off and can dump the entire fountain in minutes. He's super small, so I feel like the fountain should be a little sturdier. I wish this fountain came with a clamp of some kind to keep the lid in place! - Perhaps as a result of my troublesome cat, the motor died! I had two of these, both purchased at the same time, and the motors died within weeks of each other. We purchased replacement motors from this brand, but they didn't fit! So I'll be picking out a new fountain.

I've had this for 1 year olys now & it's simply best. When my cats go through malting near summer, i just clean the pump to get rid of any fur deep inside & that's it.
