TECHGEAR Screen Protector fits LG G5 - GLASS Edition Genuine Tempered Glass Screen Protector Guard Cover Compatible with LG G5 (Model: H850)

Mine bought for an LG G5 (original spec) phone. See photo.The product is nicely packaged etc. and has a good installation kit. I like the stick on Hold Me tabs for positioning the protector without touching it. The cleaning kit worked well. However:a) Within 2 days of use, with phone in my trouser pocket, the lower left edge of this screen protector fractured away slightly; presumably it caught on a coin. That despite also being in a silicone phone shell case. Seems the glass is too brittle to withstand normal usage.b) This Protector is NOT "Ultra clear" and of "absolute clarity" as advertised. It's just slightly milky, and obviously there. Reduces the original screen clarity.c) Does not stick well at edges, particularly Right bottom corner on my G5 and across the top, despite being for my phone and correctly positioned. I suspect being a "real glass" protector prevents it fully moulding to any imperfections in the original phone screen's flatness.d) Slightly too narrow for the phone's screen - perhaps by1.5 mm - and too short on length by ~3mm. More if you include the phone screen's rounded top and bottom areas.With hindsight I think a thinner, more pliable protector would be better.

The title says it all. In fact even the screen.protector is intact, even though the phone landed face down. What more can I say. It does the job.

When the LG G5 came out there were only the plastic Full screen cover versions available which were pretty useless..Mine dropped off after a week and I wasn't prepared to purchase another till they made a glass version...Unfortunately....they never did..So after quite a few months of going without a screen protector I noticed a Semi Glass version available which this one was the one I went for...It's better then nothing and it is Real glass....No it doesn't fully cover but I was happy with what it did cover...After cleaning the screen with the supplied swab and drying it off...I peeled off the backing and carefully applied....Hey presto...it went on a dream with NO bubbles and for 3 quid at least I have some protection which is better then None...Recommended as long as you remember it's a semi cover..Cheers.

This is a good quality item, but I have found it impossible to apply without two identical airbubbles on the two lower corners. I believe this is due to the shape of the underlying original glass. The screen protector is not flexible enough to compensate for this. It looks rather ugly when the screen is off, when it is on you can't see it.

Product arrived quicker than expected which was a bonus, comes in nice packaging, easy to apply to phone. All in all was very impressed until I dropped my phone on the kitchen work top within minutes of putting the screen protector on, the phone fell no more than an inch from my hand, I picked it up to find the screen protector completely cracked all over and the screen was barely visible underneath. I understand it is there to protect the screen however I've dropped phones from much higher distances with tempered glass protectors on and non have ever cracked to that extent. So within 20 minutes of applying the protector it had to be replaced with a new one. Maybe it was just a one off, maybe it was my own fault, I did expect it to be more hard wearing that than however and won't be buying another one.

When they say, oleophobic coating and fingerprint resistance, you would expect your tempered glass screen protector remains as clean as the phone's glass - but in fact it collects fingerprints easier than even the factory-installed plastic screen protector.I was able to put it on bubble-free, except from a small area in the bottom-right corner, where it just doesn't stick, it looks like the glass is not completely straight. I mean, it sticks when I press on the edges, but it just comes off when I release it.After a month of use a little crack appeared in the middle, while I didn't even drop my phone. But I guess it is normal.

Nice product. I recommend it.

Royal mail destroyed my first protector. However I got in touch with CS and they advised to send a picture. Once received they efficiently got me a replacement sent out in the post. Product is of high quality but unfortunately I found the protector to be too distracting from the phone screen and opted to remove it. Otherwise high quality product.
