Rich, Bold Flavor Perfect for Espresso Lovers
Cafe La Llave Espresso has quickly become a favorite in my coffee rotation. If you enjoy a robust, traditional espresso flavor with deep, earthy notes, this dark roast is a must-try.Flavor Profile:The flavor is rich and bold, with a pleasant bitterness and subtle hints of chocolate. It’s full-bodied and well-suited for espresso lovers who appreciate a strong, aromatic cup. The intensity is perfect for a morning kickstart, and it’s equally satisfying as an afternoon pick-me-up.Aroma and Freshness:Right from the bag, you can smell the freshness. The aroma is rich, filling the room with a classic espresso scent. I noticed that even a small scoop is enough to create a highly flavorful shot, making this coffee go a long way.Versatility:Though it’s labeled as espresso, I’ve tried it in various brewing methods—espresso, French press, and drip coffee—and it performs well across the board. It produces a smooth crema in my espresso machine and a rich, full cup with a French press. I also enjoy it as a base for lattes and cappuccinos, where it holds up nicely against milk.Packaging and Size:The 10-ounce bag is convenient for regular use, and the packaging keeps the coffee fresh. I do wish it had a resealable option, but transferring it to an airtight container keeps it flavorful.Overall Value:Cafe La Llave Espresso offers excellent value for a dark roast of this quality. It’s affordable yet has a premium taste, making it a great option for espresso enthusiasts and casual coffee drinkers alike.Final Verdict:Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys a dark, bold espresso with a smooth finish. Cafe La Llave delivers the quality and depth of flavor you’d expect from a high-end coffee but at a reasonable price. Perfect for starting the day strong or winding down with a rich, satisfying cup!

My Favorite Brand!
I’ve been buying this coffee for as long as I can remember and It’s 100% my favorite brand. To me, no matter if i’m making regular black coffee, iced coffee, or a latte, the strength, quality, taste, and smoothness has been incomparable. The aroma of it is also amazing and i’m in love with how fresh it is. Especially getting 12 packs for less than $32 is an amazing deal and very convenient and long lasting!

Rich, bold and strong
I've been impressed by the flavor and it's price. Bold, strong flavor but not too bitter and with nice crema. Perfect espresso coffee, even though I used v60 drip this time, flavor was top.

A LOT OF REALLY GOOD ESPRESSO BEANS
La Llave (The Key) was founded in Cuba in 1870. Its parent company is minority- and family-owned and operated, not a conglomerate branch. It only does coffee, and it's located in California, where it roasts the beans.La Llave is great Cuban-style espresso, which means it's strong, rich and slightly sweet, not smoky. Judging by the sizes and colors of the beans, they are a complex blend. They can be ground quite fine without producing the sticky residue of an oily black roast that clogs up grinders and espresso filter baskets. If you like the smoky edge, blend in some shiny black French roast beans and find your balance.La Llave in brick form is quite dark and ground perfectly for a home espresso machine, and the wrapper with a chip clip makes a fine container. I haven't tried the grind that comes in a can or the aluminum pods.

The flavor of my country
When I think of how coffee tasted in my country, I associate it with Café La Llave. I have tried many other brands until I came accross with Café La Llave in one supermarket in my area, and I have never used any other brand ever since. Café La Llave's taste is bold, its aroma is distinctive, it lasts in your palate whether you drink it dark or with milk, or milk substitutes. Of course, I have also tried all these variations, but I decided that mascarading its delicious taste must be a sin. Anyhow, try Café La Llave and will experience first hand that all I am saying is true. Enjoy!

Tasty!
For me, this tastes great. Have put it on subscription -- it is rather full bodied, more like (possibly not precisely) like espresso, since I make it like campfire coffee. It is. strong, and I don't use it full strength. My four star is only because I didn't/don't know from where it comes. Perhaps I missed that? Lovely way to start the day,, and excellent price.

Absolutely delicious!
This is my first time buying this coffee/espresso. I am impressed! I make it in my Keurig using my refillable k-cup. It tastes rich with no bitterness. The price of one brick, which lasts weeks, is the same as one stop at Starbucks. Come on, if you want great taste at a great price, give this a try!
