Hi all, I know this question has been asked before but is this a genuine Canon battery? Quite worrying how mixed the reviews are on whether it is real
Is it genuine Canon ?
What is the Ah rating of this battery?
Thank you, however please explain how this battery holds more charge than a 6d, as a 6d battery is the same.

It was only the first time it charged that I had the problem BUT the dimensions of the battery are still slightly larger than all of my other LP-E6's which is the only thing that would make me question the authenticity of the battery.... all the bar codes and aluminium strips are there though. However if the rated capacity of the batteries have not changed, then they will hold the same charge. The issue may be how efficiently the 6 D using power. My son with a 6 D has not complained of heavy drain and he uses compatible batteries. I use genuine Canon ones in my 7 D and charge them occasionally (say once per 600 shots)"}}]}]}
