The hoses are just long enough ' and as you can tell i don't have any water on the floor '.I did manage to twist the blue hose ' and i didn't quite couple it tight enough on my first attempt ' so make sure that the centre of the coupling isn't loose after tightening the coupling down '.I usually do a 90 degree wash first on a washing machine ' and this usually gets rid of any build up or smells in the machine ' but the high temperature can soften some plastic's so it's a good idea to re check the connection after a first wash '.You should only need to couple the connection hand tight until the hose doesn't flop about under the coupling nut '.Remember that it won't do up securely unless you get both sides of the connection central ' and flat together ' cos the nut will still start even if it's not 🚫 central ' and pressed together right '.I do try to avoid leaving the washing machine pipework valve's on under the sink ' cos if there was a small weep from any of the fitting's it could be a very long time before it was obvious '. So far i'm very happy with these hose's but it's always a good idea to check that you don't have any excess flashing from the moulding process before the couplings are joined ' and obviously check there isn't any grit or muck that can prevent the joint from sealing properly '.

I had one existing pipe fail, so bought these to replace both (as is recommended every few years anyway). They are of good quality and include plastic mesh filters to prevent debris passing into the washing machine. Good quality washers, no leaks, have ears on plastic fittings making them particularly easy to tighten.Highly recommended
