Battery issues
Product is easy to install and has possibly worked for a time (checked In October 22 and beeped as expected).Now December, heard a faint beep one day and checked the alarm- totally dead, no alarm no light flashing to indicate it was working.This product was purchased in April 2022 so definitely not 10year life and not worth buying. This is the 2nd unit of this type, the first was installed in 2019 by the local fire and rescue service. It lasted 3 years before beeping constantly during the night.

Good smoke detector
I liked the fact that it was a fit with the 10 year one I was replacing. Not usual as some manufactures change the design making it not compatible.It has a 10 year life so avoids having to change batteries every year or so.

New fire alarm
Had one of these for over 10years. Battery now dead and so I got this new one.Fits very well, hope it lasts just as long as the other one

Good brand, good product
It is what it is and the only thing I can say is that I wish they'd keep the mounting standard from model to model, over the years too.My previous integrated battery model from this company gave me 10 years of good service, the expected life span, and then started misbehaving so needed to be replaced. This one seemed the best option. Sadly the mounting plate is completely different so I needed to remove the old one from the ceiling and fit the one supplied instead. A simple enough job and the holes did line up. Just. But wouldn't it be nice if you could just twist one off and twist a new one on?Well worth the money though and a top name brand.

Easy to install
Easy to install and swap out if you get the same one next time. I think it's much safer getting a new unit with an integral battery each time as your life depends on this thing and electronics can get less effective as time goes on.

A Peace of Mind purchase.
Bought to replace a unit that has served well but was giving the "low battery" beep. The old unit hadn't lasted 10 years in use but came well-recommended by Which? and my local fire service, so very happy to go for a direct replacement. It is low cost for peace of mind, and I have the assurance that it is loud enough to wake even a heavy sleeper like myself. ( The old unit lasted for around 6 years in use). It also meant that I did not have to replace the existing mount but could fit the new unit directly on the old mount.As a unit it looks smart and unobtrusive in my opinion.
